Pale yellow color, a bit hazy, with lots of head with good retention and leaving laces.
Nice aroma of banana, yeast, cinnamon, wheat and some citrus.
Nice refreshing flavor with a zesty feeling, taste of pineapples, yeast and wheat. Dry and yeasty aftertaste. A bit of condiments, indicating it is a Weiss going towards a Witbier.
Light body with good carbonation.
I liked the fact that balanced both bananas and citric, as opposed to have a clear predominance of just one side. It is less complex and lighter than usual, but still very pleasant and with a higher drinkability.
By the way, it is better for drinking on a warmer day in the cold Chía.

Latest seasonal* from the Bogota Beer Company.

Sampled at the Bogota Beer Company at the 82nd.

I must start by commending not only the owner (Bernie Silberwasser) but the collaboration. They brought over a brewmaster from Weihenstephaner, imported the yeast from Germany, for the production of this beer

Appearance: a light bodied yet considerably cloudy brew. Bright golden tone giving off a bit more light than usual (lighter straw). White, 2in head with good retention and very appropriate for the style.

Smell: Lucky to go in the afternoon to the BBC, so that there was hardly any people there > thus no smoke. Strong, citrusy feel at first, lemoney, followed by more discrete wheat notes. Light, yet appropriate for the style.

Taste: OK, this one brought me to a dilemma. Weizen or Witbier? wheaty and dry at first, with a considerable banana feel lasting throughout. Bubble-gummy at the end wheere the sweetness comes in stronger. However, the taste is considerably milder in the yeast sense (and alcoholey) and clovey finish than your average Franziskaner/Paulaner/Erdinger feel, for which i'd opt to identify it a bit more with the Hoegaarden/Blanche de Chambly tendances, with the Local, fresh brewpub [big] plus.

Mouthfeel: soft throughout, the bitterness at the end is very compliant with the style and although it is absolutely full bodied (as for which I could only drink 2 pints at a time), it goes down smooth, with a comfortable and refreshing level of carbonation and temperature.

Drinkability: Well, I must say that this one is an excellent change from the usual brit-beer current the BBC has followed for the years. this one is more refreshing than the others and can go down- not all that easily given its weizen properties- but still at a good, pleasant rate.

Hit the spot.

*might become the 4th permanent BBC beer.
