There are several of these quality food and beer markets in the Eugene area….this one stocked a bigger then usual array of the local good stuff, regionals and national heavy weights…stored mostly in several large cooler units.

Plus pleanty of quality foodie food options…meets, veggies etc etc….

Mid sized super market set up with ample parking in the lot it sits it….worth a visit if you spot one of these place during your time in Eugene.

This particular market of choice is located right near the university, and I have to wonder if that has some impact on the selection available here. While it (the selection) is pretty good, on the other hand it pales in comparison to what's available at my local MofC in West Linn. I didn't see any limited or special release stuff (no Deschutes reserve series, no Full Sail black gold, and no Alesmith or Russian River stuff at all), and the import selection seemed rather limited as well. However, there is still a nice selection of craft beer here, mostly focusing on local and regional breweries (Washington, Oregon and California). As with other MofC's I've been to, most of the beer selection is refrigerated, which is something I appreciate (there was a small display of Rogue and a few other local products that weren't refrigerated).

Service here is pretty much non-existent, which is about what I expected based on my visits to other MofC stores. This is a grocery store, and even if there is an onsite wine/beer guy (as there is at the West Linn store), he/she is rarely around to assist anyone. However, as with other MofC's, the staff here is unfailingly pleasant and polite, and willing to answer any question you might have (if they know the answer to it - don't expect a Belmont Station level of knowledge, or even a John's Marketplace level). Prices looked to be about the norm for the area, with a few items on sale as well.

Shrug. This probably isn't a BA destination, but is a high quality grocery store with a decent beer selection, catering to students and the local neighborhood. Nothing wrong with that...

I've been in here a number of times when either in Eugene or traveling through to see family, and I can attest that they have one of the better bottle selections in town outside of The Bier Stein, and the prices are certainly more reasonable. A number of Oregon beers were on special for Oregon Beer Month, including the local 'big' breweries (Ninkasi and Oakshire), along with Hop Valley from Springfield. I didn't see any beer specific staff though it must be noted I visited on a Sunday afternoon. While it doesn't features the depth or quality of the selection at the Bier Stein, this is quite a good selection for a grocery store, and I like the vibe of this particular location more than the Willakenzie location.
