Pours very dark and opaque with a rich medium brown head. Smell is intensely boozy (almost rubbing alcohol) with a sweet chocolate note. Flavor, like the aroma, is sweet and chocolatey with a significant hot booze flavor (though noticeably less intense than the aroma would lead you to believe), and a slightly bitter finish. While a boozy flavor is quite welcome with such big imperial stouts, we found this beer did not quite have enough other flavors to back it up or balance it out. It is otherwise a well-done BA imperial stout.

This beer has been aged for most of the year and it has a great flavor with a slight alcohol taste. A little mor aging and the taste would be excellent. Great bourbon flavor with small head and just the right amount of carbonation. Excellent dark color.

Dark black with a brown head that fades. Leaves a speck of lacing. Smell is heavy bourbon, roasted malts, licorice. Taste is the same. Nicely sweet roast malt, chocolate, bourbon and licorice. Super thick. Great beer.

22 oz. Bomber
White Wax/Capped
2015 Vintage
ABV: 10%
Poured into a chalice a very nice dark brown color, with some very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger tan head, which leaves some pretty nice oil slicks and sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with some nice chocolate/toffee/coffee notes, some vanilla. The taste is very nice malty, very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, and a nice little touch of coffee, vanilla, nice little sweetness. Full Body, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very nice brew. Basically no bourbon, but still a fine brew. Definitely would buy again.
