Pale ale brewed with the finest 2 row pale malt and aggressively hopped with Cascade and Galena. This brew has light sweetness and has essences of grapefruit and other citrus. This medium bodied beer is 6.0% ABV, 55 IBU's, and is best enjoyed at 50°F-60°F.

Still working on the BOTMC stockpile. On cracking the top there is a very sweet malty smell almost like a tripel. Pours to an opaque yellowish orange with a creamy but thin head. Taste is, woah, there are the hops, but not real standout. This is not real balnced and more malty up front but the hops do come around. A very different taste for this ale, almost a sweet butterscotch start with a subdued gritty hoppiness, followed by a hoppier finish. Mouthfeel seems to lack a little bit of carbonation but too little is better than too much. Quite unique and tasty. Apparantly brewed with lots of early hops but not much near the finish. I grade it for its complex uniqueness.

Yellow beer that doesn't reek of clarity. For being "aggressively" hopped, this beer uses "tame" hops but an even smaller amount of them. For shame.

Taste, jeez is this a blonde ale? Fucking weak. Take the Tahoe name off of this, that beautiful body of water doesn't deserve to be disparaged like this from the South.

Expensive and mundane, never again.

It's all right. Has the taste of an IPA, but not quite there. Very foamy at the top, and nice, fragrant fruity smells. Amber in color, taste is good, but nothing to put it over the top.

Hazy medium amber color in the New Belgium snifter with a nice head and swirls of lacing. Then I notice the swarms of floaties-- ack! Aroma is woodsy, leaf mold, and cereal. Watery body with some malty texture.

This is not really terrible in flavor, but it's an odd murky flavor. The beer is rather bitter, but with a dank taste that is more wintergreen than hops. Grainy taste with carrot notes and a bitter vegetable tang. Rather sweet and bready with a fruity off-flavor. It has that peculiar sweet and bitter sensation that is not so pleasant.

From the 22 oz bottle. This stuff wasn't meant to be aged, and I must have bought it last year somewhere in Denver.

pours a nice amber color pour with an initial finger of head which diminished completely. the aroma is mostly of caramel malt, plums, raisins. the flavor is mainly caramel malt as well, with a light bitterness on the back of the palate. mostly malty sweetness and caramel in this beer.. nothing too special, but perfect for malt lovers!
medium body with a low amount of carbonation.. very easy to drink.

overall, this is not an impressive beer - there's honestly nothing that stands out from this one. as far as a pale ale it lacks the hoppy bite i look forward to. as far as a beer on its own, this is pretty damn tasty - loaded with sweetness from the malt.

the abv on BA says this is 6%, the abv on the 22oz bomber i have says 7%. not sure which one is right.

bottle into a pint glass

crazy amount of off white head that overtakes the glass. I could only fit about 1/2 the bottle into the glass. clear copper color with a bunch of carbonation.

smell is faint, grassy hops

taste is bitter hops with a touch of tequila flavors and a bit of smoke at the end

mouthfeel is thin and slightly off balance

overall, not bad, but it doesn't make me crave another one

I believe this was poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass at Taco Asylum in Costa Mesa, Calif. Reviewed from notes.

A- Two finger width creamy white head. Soapy and wispy with a copper body underneath. Some clarity.

S- Caramel malt body, citrusy hops, caramel, brown sugar, deeper bodied malts.

T- Bitter, metallic hops, lighter malt body, bitter and malty. Not great.

M- Light, creamy and dry finish.

O- Decent beer, tastes bitter and strong.
