Notes / Commercial Description:
Hop Box is our tribute to hops! Bury your nose in a glass and inhale. Pungent aromas immediately enrich your senses. Hop Box has both pine and citrus notes that arise from the bucketfuls of hops we add to the kettle and again into the fermentation tanks. We attempt to pack as much hop flavor and aroma into your glass as possible. Drink in the rich resinous flavors that elevate the heady aromatics. The hop box sips crisp and finishes dry with a lingering bitterness that begs you to take another sip.

From the 12 fl. oz. can. Sampled on May 24, 2016.

It pours cloudy yellow with a modest white head that leaves lacing.

The aroma has a hint of toasted bread with a ginger, rosemary, and other herbal characteristics along with a floral note.

Medium body.

Vague toast and herbal flavors with a bitter finish.

A very pale yellow color, similar to a budlight. Extensitve carbonation and slightly cloudy beer. The head is egg color frothy and billow with good retetion.

A moderate hop aroma, citrus, floral, pine, oranges, perfume, and grassy. A sublte malty sweetness come in from the back ground.

A mild hop flavor with citrus, floral, pine, oranges and grass. The malt is lightly toasted and sweet.

The mouth feel is smooth with a general finish that does not last.

If this is a DIPA, it is a joke. this beer can barely be classified as APA. The hops flavor ( the lack thereof)is mild at best. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale has more hops than this. Seriously you need go back to the drawing board on this one. The color of the beer should be a few tints darker. This is Not a DIPA, no freaking way you had one Job Put hops in the beer, one major job.

Had on-tap at the Yard House, Las Vegas - poured into a pint glass.

L: Pours a medium golden color, clear, and with 2 fingers of sticky white head.

S: Citrus and pine... faintly herbal and earthy.

T/F: Thinner body than I was hoping for in a beer this big. Semi-sweet malts open up and the hop profile is solid. Citrus and tropical fruits as well as evergreen. Zesty carbonation and finishes clean.

O: A fairly average DIPA. Thinner than expected but still reasonably tasty. Not one I'd seek out again. Not one I'd turn down.

This might be the last beer I brought back from L.V.
Pretty classic looking for style with a lighter amber towards gold and a big full head with some lacing. Somewhat cloudy.
Full hop aroma with citrus and fruit and a general west coast vibe.
Clear bitterness that starts early and finishes late in a moderately long finish. Bumps up to some excess but not excessively excessive but excessive enough to off-set some of the better aspects of the drink.
Nothing a problem here. Hits marks and at a slightly smaller size could do a couple.

I picked this up because I hadn't tried anything from this brewery before and it's a double IPA in a can. Looks okay on the pour but falls kinda flat from there. There's no freshness stamp from the brewery but there's a price label from the liquor store saying July 2015; optimal freshness may be an issue.
Sweetness hits too strong, which couples with a booziness that's too much. The initial bite of hops is actually quite nice, as is the finish. Most of the ride is lackluster.
I feel like there is some potential here. A double IPA in a can is an attractive product. As far as this can of beer goes, it's too sweet and out of balance for me to want another serving.

Based on reviews I suspect a lot of batch variation goes into this beer. well, here goes:

Poured from 12oz can into snifter

slightly hazy pale golden with 2 inch fluffy white head
Big grape fruit and resin on the nose
Taste follows with a touch of malt sweetness to balance and smooth things
Medium bodied for the style and ABV

My can was labelled 8.2% and this was a very nice, traditional DIPA with lots of piney grapefruit hops and a strong backbone of malt to balance. Absolutely a solid beer - reviews seem all over the place though.

Relatively smooth for a strong beer, orange amber with abundant creamy off white head. Hoppy, piney aroma leads to very astringent taste, sharp bitterness lingers long after. Still smooth enough to mask to the high abv. Nicely done.

Short review just because of the low comments.
Canned, 12 oz, 8.2%.
Really clear hop oils, dank "weedy" notes, spicy pineapple seeds and thick grapefruit pith. Gets a bit grassy towards the finish, but there's a lot of pine resin, too. Malt backbone is easy to ignore, this is not an overly sweet, sticky imperial IPA. Especially considering the dry aftertaste. Bitter, sure, but not the "medicinal"/aspirin kind.
Weird, they might've changed the way they make this brew. I can't possibly go lower than 4.

12 oz can. Pours hazy golden orange with a big creamy off white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet crystal malt with piney grassy hops and some fruit.

The flavor is sweet, slightly fruity, biscuit malts with lots of grassy piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, OK DIPA.

Way too dark for an ipa, came in looking like a brown ale. Here we go. . .

Aroma wasn't hoppy. You had one job.

Taste wasn't hoppy. You had one job. Lots of brown malt, yeast, cask like carbonation, hops hiding far away from this jurisdiction. Way too expensive for something this far below average.
