When I first moved to Norman this was really the only place I knew about where I could get some decent beer/food. While I am glad I ventured out and found some better places, this is still the best bet for a large chain/sit down restaurant to take visitors/family to if you have a decent sized group. Unfortunately everyone else has the same idea and this place gets pretty packed out around dinner time. Sororities like to have giant get-togethers here as well so it can get fairly obnoxious pretty quick. The wait staff is pretty lame... they rarely come back to check on you expect to give you the bill and move you along so they can get the table sat again. The food is average and very pricey... and so is the beer. But, they do have a decent selection of styles and they are full strength (which is a big deal in Oklahoma). Lots of TVs for sporting events as well, but there are better places to go.

The first thing i did when i sat down was ordered a fllight of beer and a berry cider. All the beer were good and even the cider was of great quality. The food was very good. I got a pizza for an appitizer and a chili cheese burger for my meal. It was all exceptional and i liked that they put fried onions on top of the burger. Again the beer was all very good. This place is a good place to go to if your going to eat. Not a place to drink at even though they have microbrewed beer. I went here about a month ago and had a coupon for a free desert. Everything was very good. I will go back again!

Lunched here prior to the OU/Idaho ST game

Great atmosphere as long as you aren't looking for anything to non-corporate: Very clean-lined design & loved the sports bar feel here, seemed a nicer/newer version of what I saw in Boulder CO

Most brews were good (the porter, hefe & pale ale) & only the Marzen tasted off style/weak

Service was friendly & attentive, my waitress knew a bit about the beers, but failed on the question of what's your hoppiest offering (she clued me in on that)

Selection was fairly nice, 9 house beers & a cider; plus a few standards ( Guinness, other exports & SN Pale Ale)

Food was tasty, fairly wide varied menu, liked the wings & loved my Asian shrimp lettuce rolls

Seemed good value for the $

I will happily go back again, this place failed to wow me in Boulder, but in Norman it seemed a better fit (duh), better than my overall rating, but that's with a local grading curve mind you

Was in Norman for a week and half, ended up here a majority of the evenings...

Atmosphere: Not bad, mainly a restaurant so nothing great, but MLB extra innings package was great, and willingness to turn on any game we wanted. Very nice building, bar, tables, lighting, etc.

Quality: Food and beer both very high quality.

Service: Overall good, waitresses friendly, some bartenders great, others seem a bit annoyed when you ask them for something.

Selection: A lot of taps of their own beers, all of which I tried were quite good! Probably 10 of their own beers and 5-6 good microbrews to boot. The menu has a very wide variety.

Food: All the food I had was fantastic. If you go, get the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, you won't be disappointed. If the waitress tells you to get an individual, make sure you get at least a small, you'll probably eat all of it and if you get a bigger one you'll have leftovers, which would have been great.

The prices were a tad high compared to other places I was at around Norman, but the beer selection and quality is superb and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend if you're visiting Norman and enjoy good microbrews.

BJ's Restaurant is conveniently located on Ed Noble Pkwy within convenient access to I-35. I've been to several different BJ's over the years & this one rates highly for attentive service. I've been to this particular location several times, so this is somewhat of a cumulative review. The bartenders & wait staff are friendly & make a reasonable attempt to at least be beer concious, if not some a little saavy. This afternoon, I found myself in town getting my car serviced at one of the local dealerships, so I stopped in for a quick bit of lunch before hitting the highway. I ordered up an Annual Grand Cru to warm & enjoyed a Pook's Pils while watching an afternoon game on the big tele. The Pook's Pilner was quite refreshing with a nice quip of spicy hops & the Grand Cru was nearly perfect on a cold, overcast January day in Sooner country. For the record, the crispy thin-crust fresh basil w/ Italian sausage appetizer pizza is the bomb! I highly recommend a visit while in town whether it's for a business luncheon, family dinner, or a quick lunch for uno at the bar.
