We've been going here since they opened. Nice big bar in the middle of the place which is usually crowded. One nice feature of the place is a wide railing that runs between a walkway and one side of the dining area. They have stools on either side and you can there and enjoy a beverage and appetizer while you wait for your table.

Beer on tap selection is focused on UK brews, with a view US craft offerings. Bottle selection is okay. Most of the the British/Scottish drafts are very fresh. They have a number of Belhaven and Fuller's brews on tap.

Food is actually pretty good. Wait staff has always been friendly and attentive everytime we have been there.

Is a nice place to spend an evening with friends.

I like the layout. Nice big bar with plenty of table space around it. Definitely has a unique style - old but clean.

Beer has always been fresh - I try to order bottles only.

Very good and friendly service. Nice kilts.

Decent selection of beer - for an 'English Pub' I'm happy to see the moderate selection of American craft beers.

Good selection of food - traditional British fare with some Americanized choices to keep everyone happy.

It is a bit pricey - probably in line with other stuff in the area.

Been here twice so far. The atmosphere is nice. Large bar in center with tables around the outside. Large patio. Lots of TV's.

Quality is questionable. There was a large fruit fly stuck on the inside bottom of my wife's beer glass. Waiter said that happens, they are attracted to the beer taps. He quickly replaced her beer.

Service was good. If you haven't been here their gimmick is to dress young good looking people up in short skirts and kilts. It doesn't go unappreciated. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. We spoke with the manager as well and he was equally pleasant.

Selection was good but not impressive with as many bars carrying craft beer now. The first time I was there, not long after they had opened, I kept ordering beers from the menu I have not tried and the girl kept coming back saying they didn't have it. I believe they had 6-8 beers on tap and 20 some bottles. Most of the beer was ones you could pick up at the local grocery store. The notable ones in keeping with the theme of the establishment was a full selection of Fullers and Belhaven beers on tap. They had the usual suspects for craft beer, Stone, Dogfishhead, etc. The are known for always having Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale on tap. Also, they had Bell's Two Hearted Ale on cask. Not that I have anything against two hearted or cask, but an IPA on cask seems pointless to me. You can't pick up on the subtle flavors a cask gives.

Food was mixed. My wife ordered a burger medium-well and it came back a charcoal brick and fries were ice cold. She couldn't eat that but liked the soup. I had a beef dip sandwich on a pretzel roll that was good.

Prices are a little high. Polaris is known for being an upscale area, so prices reflect.

I really like the layout of this place. Very large bar in the middle, with quite a bit of boothes around. Like others have said the atmosphere is pretty solid.

I've been here several times and never have had any sort of problem with the service. They seem to have a good knowledge of their brews.

Seleection wise its a good combination of UK and American craft beers. Even though I was a bit disappointed to see that they just started to waste a tap handle to a macro. The bar keeper said they did this during the world cup, but he thinks it'll stay. It doesn't seem that the brew here rotates much, other than the cask handle. I have had several Brewdog, Columbus brewing and Bells on the cask, which is always a nice plus.

Food wise its not bad probably a bit better than some of the noraml pub food. Mondays is half off on fish and chips.

Overall, a pretty cool place to go.

I might not have ever gone out here if it werent for my friend working there.

This is one of those places that are new but emulate old fashioned British/Irish/Scottish public houses. The employees all wear kilts and there are little snugs with booths made out of dark stained wood and lined in old patterns.

The bar has many beers on tap and not one of them a domestic. They specialize in beers from the UK but also have a strong representation of American craft.

I have seen Goose Island Imperial Brown Goose on tap that I have not seen anywhere else in Columbus. They also had DFH Red and White on tap, which I didnt even know would be in kegs out in Ohio. So needless to say there are many surprises here every visit.

The best thing is their cask ale. They feature beers from BrewDog on cask. It rotates, but I have had Hardcore IPA and Paradox. I order from the hand pump every time Im here. They seem to try to sever in the proper glassware, at least its not brought to you in a frosted pint.

The food is really good too. Traditional Brittan fare. Shepherds pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, fried pickles etc.

The prices are fairly expensive, our 10 oz snifter pour of DFH Red and White was over $7. That and the distance from my house makes this restaurant a special trip.

Wife and I decided to use our Columbus AleFest discount and visit this establishment recently.

Should have used GPS to nail down the exact location first. Had to spend at least 20 minutes before landing a snow-free parking spot within mortar range of the place.

Could have used more authentic pub music pumping out of the sound system...Sex Pistols anyone? Enjoyed seeing the lads in authentic kilts and lasses in minis!!

Nice touch is four 5 ounce tastings available on almost anything on the beer list. Also counted at least ten or more Black and Tan combos.

Dustin did a bangup job serving and keeping us happy while watching Inter Milan vs Sampdoria on FSC.

We'll definitely go again soon. Stay tuned.

What a cool location this is, you need to step inside and appreciate this place. Feels like you stepped into a well-cared for pub in London, although in actuality you're next to a large shopping mall... Lots of seating along the long circle of a bar, also plenty of tables, both short and tall. There's even a table with 4 taps just for them! It's called the "King's Table", and you need to spend $100/hr to hold court there.

The tap list is about 30 or so, mostly UK brews and USA craft beers. One cask while I was there (Brew Dog Rip Tide) but maybe they've got another somewhere that wasn't running. And the food, unbelievable! I had a burger with Young's Double Chocolate BBQ sauce, so delicious and it included all the necessities (such as bacon) even though they weren't listed on the menu. If you're with your family and they're shopping at Polaris, do yourself a big favor and stop here for a bite with them (or to wait out the shopping spree).

The Pub is a nice place located in the outdoors area of Polaris Fashion Place. This review is based on a couple visits. It's kind of tucked into the shopping area so it can be easy to pass up if you are not looking for it. Parking is plentiful and I've always gotten a spot that is very close. As you walk in, the one thing that stands out is the the large bar that has an odd shape. There are tables set aside for casual dining and some tables around the bar as well. There is also a patio located on the left side of the bar. One table stands above the rest though. It's a table with several tap handles and a chair that looks like a throne. Granted, a table with it's own taps is nice, but the throne is a nicer touch. The atmosphere is laid back and it never seems too busy to enjoy yourself. That could be based on the fact that I've stopped by late on my visits. This is still a relatively new place so quality is pretty good. Service is hit or miss. More about this later. Selection is not bad at all. Seems like The Pub is going for a British feel and the tap selection really does drive that point home. Breweries represented: Fullers, Youngs, Belhaven, Newcastle, etc. They also offer some craft brew from America if that is what you're looking for - Dogfish Head and Breckenridge. Bottle selection expands on the tap selection but it's nothing too special. I noticed brews from Sam Smith, Chimay, and Great Lakes. The food also has a British feel to it. I ordered the Fried Pickles and Fish & Chips and they were both just above average. Others in my party ordered the Bangers and Mash which looked particularly appetizing. Food is a little pricey but not completely out of the question. There is a rotating tap but I haven't noticed anything outstanding on it yet. Could have been a brew from Widmer last time I was there. One plus is there has always been a selection on cask when I've stopped by. So far it has always been a selection from Brewdog (which fits in nicely with what the place is going for). Now, for the service and knowledge of the staff, I've tried to get some particular information on the cask brews but that has always been a bust for me. Brewdog Paradox was on cask and all I could get from the waitress was "It's a stout". Nothing about barrel aging or batch number. Also, Brewdog Dogma garnered a response of "It's a strong beer so it's more expensive". Not too helpful for someone who isn't in the know. Overall this is a decent place and I could see myself going here again to enjoy the atmosphere and cask selections they are able to get.

My girlfriend planned to take me to The Pub, a cultural joint, when she ran across it a few months ago. My affinity for British Isle brews is well known around the house. I walked through the doors and was in awe. Having never been inside a traditional British pub, I cannot comment on its authenticity, but instead I can say that I could not conjure a more delightfully themed establishment. Brass and teak wood set the immediate tone. A finely detailed bar and very charming formed the identity of its clever layout.

The Pub primarily serves fares from the British Isles. the food is slightly greasy and a tad expensive, but I was too geeked to be there to not justify these mere inconveniences.

The evening of my experience, 27 beers were on tap. These beers were categorized by country in which the beer was brewed. The lineup of English ales was expansive, and many are unique to the Columbus area. The Irish and Scotch ales had a substantial presence and offset the fact that there were not any Welsh brews on draft. The Pub did see fit to add a few Belgian wheat beers to the list. A few craft brew specialty beers rounded out the draft list.

In bottles, The Pub also categorized their stock by country brewed. Sam Smith dominates the English line up, and there are several other bottles from other European countries and some of the regulars from the U.S.

I settled in with some roast beef sliders and a solo pint of Fuller's London Pride Ale. It was a great experience for beer enthusiasts, and I highly recommend a visit or two.

Every shopping mall in America needs to follow the model at Polaris Fashion Place in Columbus. My wife and daughters can go shopping while I sit at this fantastic pub to enjoy a pint (or 2 or 3). Great selection of British beers. The Passport program is a good way to try everything that is available. Kudos to Kate, the service manager, for always making sure that I am treated with excellent service.

On the food menu, I recommend the Sheperd's Pie. It is excellent!

If you are in Columbus, make sure to stop by the Pub.

The Pub opened up a couple months ago in the newer section of Polaris mall, and has been going gangbusters ever since. There are several lots in walking distance.

The interior is big and spacious yet has several spots that are cozy, including nooks and a "King's Room" which is tucked away in the rear and features 4 Belhaven taps that are devoted to that tabe and utilize a computer to keep track of how many ounces are poured. The majority of the space is devoted to table seating, with the lovely wood and lantern bar in the middle.

The Pub has a decent tap list devoted primarily to beers from the UK. There are around 20-25 segmented by region (Belhaven, Young's, etc) plus one on cask (CBC Porter on my visit). As for bottles there are a couple dozen again with a primary focus on the UKm but with some other goodies like DFH and Bell's available.

Service for our large group was well coordinated among several in the staff, and it was evident that they all had to chip in to help each other out as the place is still constantly busy. I was skeptical at first due to the Vegas-like practice of dressing their staff in semi-revealing clothing, but our primary server had a good sense for the beers they carried.

While our party was relegated to appetizers only, they were all presented well and tasted good.

Overall this place is a worthy visit on the north end of Columbus and thus far The Pub deserves the crazy crowds it has been getting.

The Pub is, located behind Polaris Mall, and just opened December 08. Sure glad it did, because it was a real treat. I haven't been to England, but The Pub in Columbus is wonderfully decorated with an ambiance that makes you feel like you're in a pub in England including a waitstaff dressed in kilts and EPL soccer showing on many of thhe flat panels located around the bar. Lots of bar space, and numberous tall cocktail tables makes for ample seating.

The "Beer Bible" you given listed 24 beers that they had available on tap at that time representing 5 regions, Britian, Scotland, Ireland, Belgium and United States. Cast beer was not available duing my visit, but is listed on the beer menu. Quality selection of beers from each country including some great regional beers from the midwest including a number of speciality beers like burbon barrel aged ale. I felt like a kid in a candy store. There were also easily twenty plus single malt Scotch and Burbons listed. It's safe to say that you have many great choices to make regarding what to drink.

Oh, the food menu looked great too, but I didn't have an opportunity to enjoy it at this time. I'm looking forward to visiting again and spending more time sampling the food and beverage menu.

Unhappy to be stranded in Columbus after an ice storm flight cancellation. Happy to be able to be the first person to review this bar.

Attached to a mega mall, which is the last place I'd expect to find a good beer bar. Walking in, it's a disney-esque British Pub. Wood as far as the eye can see, a huge bar in the middle of the pub, bartenders in kilts , HD screens showing Premier League matches, and an uncountable number of beer taps.

Saw the cask handle and asked if anything was availible; being a wednesday I was pleasantly surprised to hear it was Bell's Two Hearted Ale. The bartender, Jaime, was well versed in the nature of cask/real ale as well as how to pour and serve it.

Draft beers included a premium selection of a dozen or so British ales including Fullers ESB and London Pride, Bellhaven, and Young's Double Chocolate Stout. American Ales, which seemed to be less numerous than the British versions, included Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and Dogfish 60 Minute IPA.

Food was reasonably priced but not particularly notable.

Service was outstanding, forthcoming with samples and advice for both drinks and food.

There seem to be quite a few specials, including $4 pints (even on cask ales) during Happy Hour.

Overall, this place far exceeded my expecations. It's been open for about a month, and next time I am in Columbus, I'll be back.
