9/17/18 (Milwaukee): First bar hit during day trip to Milwaukee. Large bar and restaurant area, empty during mid-day Monday. Bar had many steins and other Milwaukee Brewery memorabilia which was nice. Service inattentive despite empty bar. Didn't try food, beer was OK.

My wife and I visited this brewery on a trip to Milwaukee. The beer selection was excellent, and the beer was solid. I particularly liked the Oktoberfest. The building is full of brewing memorabilia, including a wall full of classic beer cans. We didn't have any food, but the service was friendly.

Pretty standard bar scene (at their downtown location). Fairly nice waitstaff and a fairly wide selection of beers. Unfortunately, ever single one of their beers was... bad. Its pretty rare for me to leave anything in a taster in a flight of beers. The 8 I tried tonight (their standard 6 plus two seasonals, the Black IPA and the Flanders Brown) were bad, every single one. I didn't finish a single sample (I think the IPA is the only one I made it halfway through). Almost every beer tasted under-attenuated and every beer had at least one fairly glaring fault.

This is for their Grafton location. Been coming here for business for a few years and the fantastic food and service keeps me coming back. Being 100 meters from my hotel does not hurt either. Their beer has evolved to where I can drink and actually enjoy it now. IPA is a bit bitter but this make their black IPA a beautiful thing. Bright and airy feel with great bartenders makes it relaxing any season. Worth a stop.

It is basically bar food - cheese curds, scotch eggs, burgers and the like. The beer is decent but there is a lot of the light stuff. All and all its worth a stop.

Low key interior with a personal feel and touch of personality. Not too loud, which was nice. Staff are friendly, but the restaurant is self serve... Not a great choice if you want a real sit down meal.
Food is home style pub food with a bit of a twist. I missed the homemade pretzels, but my schnitzel sandwich was good. Garlic-parm fries were just fries dusted with some store bought shake. On the bright side my asian salad had fresh orange segments rather than from a can.
Beers are OK (a bit thin and mostly one dimensional), with limited selection (5 on tap) but they have great prices.
Mediocre overall.
