This was a solid pilsner, just a nicely balanced beer and easy to drink. Sometimes pilsners are too mellow, and sometimes the brewer overcompensates for that and makes it too bold, but this one was neither of those. Went great with the slightly spicy food at the restaurant (because I didn't have anything really hot, though they do offer that too). Happy to keep trying more of their beers when I eat there.

this is big for a pils, but appropriate for all the intensely flavored big dinners there, and probably the lightest of all the beers they do, so this is the one to drink if you want to fill up on the wonderful food and not the beer. big malty nose, bready and doughy like an untoasted english muffin, grainy and more german than czech, but not real close to either. there is some bitter hops to this on the finish, which would overwhelm a regular european pilsener, but in this fuller bodied brew it makes good sense and cleans up the finish. still a bit more filling than i need, especially in a pilsener, but i get what they are shooting for with this one. nothing special by any means, but a decent craft pale beer to drink that wont get in the way of their incredible food. well carbonated enough to mellow a spicy palate.

Took the in-laws to Yak and Yeti tonight for their last meal in Denver before they drive back to Kansas City in the morning. We really enjoyed the pils in their beer sampler, so I grabbed a growler to enjoy at home.

I'm guessing this is intended to be a German style pils as it has some sulfer on the nose, a lighter color, and a more prominant hop character. Just my guess though, I saw no info about the beer at the brewpub.

Pours a very light straw yellow color with a nice head. Bubbles stream up from the bottom of my perfect pint glass 10 minutes after the pour.

Aromas of fresh bread, graham cracker, and peppery hops. There seem to be some sulfer notes on the nose as well.

Malt character is bready and grainy with some sweetness. Hops are grassy, spicy, and peppery. The finish is dry and moderately bitter.

The body is medium with plenty of carbonation.

The drinkability is the primary reason I bought this growler. We gorged our selves at the Yak and Yeti Indian buffet less than an hour ago. We're talking food coma stuffed here. And yet, I have no problem putting down a few pints back at the house. That is drinkability!

Namaste is a tasty pilsner that provides plenty of noble hop and pilsner malt flavor, while retaining the refreshing character that makes lagers so popular.
