Pours an almost clear amber color with a light tan head that provides moderate lacing. The nose is caramalt, bread, and some grassy hops. Very nice.

The grassy hops are more prominent on the taste, with the bread and caramalt following. There’s almost a tea-like flavor to this which actually works really well.

The mouthfeel is medium, on point for this beer, which drinks a little more like a Festbier thanks to the hops, but is still really satisfying.

Poured from 12 oz can into a pint glass. Medium amber, slight head that dissipates quickly, small amount of lacing
Smell is bready, orange peel with a hint of fall spice
Thin mouth feel, as if it lacks some carbonation or other kick
Lacks flavor, a touch of hoppiness, slightly fruit sweetness
Generally unobjectionable but also uninspiring, fairly bland presentation

I tried to like it and could not. To me it did not taste like a Marzen should. Malt feels one-dimensional and thin, and it leans into hops too much. Basically, I would identify it as a decent Vienna lager.

Had Afterburner poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "BEST BY 01-09-22," gift from Chicago friend, into Seidel.

Pours beautiful light amber with clarity and 1-finger very light-tan head, which dissipates to a persistent film, and leaves a very little lace. Very sweet malt aroma off pour, then some caramel, joined by just a hint of hop spice as warms. Begins smooth, with caramel malt, joined by just a bit of fruit and a hint of hop spice leading into a crisp finish.

Nice lookin', straightforward, poundable Märzen Octoberfest.

Had this on tap. This one has a really nice look to it. Typical aroma and taste to it, malty and bready. this one finished a little drier than some of the other Oktoberfest beers I've had.

Pours a reddish brown, quickly receding khaki head. Aroma of toasted bread, grain, mild hops, tastes of bread, grain, and a hint of toffee. Crisp, clean nicely carbonated, a really well done Oktoberfest! Need to try more from Metropolitan!

Nice okto, the malt flavor is a little too thin, luckily they didn't go crazy with the hops either. Nice and drinkable if not a standout

Deep golden amber, with just a touch of copper, capped by a thin but dense and resilient white head
Pilsner malts with a touch of extra grainy spiciness dominate the nose. Some damp leaf litter notes
Taste has the malts but in a much thinner form than in the aroma. The balance is tilted decidedly toward the earhy, vegetal bitterness of the hops.
Mouthfeel is a touch syrupy but fairly drinkable
