Corner bottle shop, not too far from Parramatta itself. Another place that was one of the better places to shop close to 10 years ago when i first moved to Sydney.

Nothing too flash inside, just a typical suburban style bottle shop. Cases occupy the floor, with beers (and now cider) stocking the shelves on the right on the way in. Decent fridge space still dedicated to beer.

One of the best places to go to purchase beer glasses, it is these that take up a fair bit of the ambient temperature shelving and cider has taken over a bit. The beer range has certainly shrunk as plenty of the shelves are now bare. Things like Fullers IPA on the shelves and not in the fridge. Still it is a place where it is possible to pick up 2 year old Chimay Blue for current prices.

Service was pleasant enough, i asked about the shrinking range and was told they weren't selling a lot due to the economic downturn. Was also told they would try and beef up the range leading in to Christmas.

The selection has the odd bit of Fullers like Porter and India Pale Ale. Otherwise its Trappist centric and with the odd tick from places like Malta and Chile. Certainly the saddest i have seen this range in numerous visits.

Things were a touch on the pricey side with Rocherfort 10 going for $12.50, so a bit more than most places. Though with the low stock turnover on cellarable stuff, it can be possible to pick up 1 or 2 year old trappist brews at said prices.

Another shop that seems to have had its heyday. Sad to see it in this state given its decline over the past 9 years and conversely how the beer scene in Sydney has progressed over the same period. Worth going to if you are passing by or in the area, but certainly and no longer worth making a special trip to.

Northmead now are a 'Little Bottler' under a big green banner.

Selection in the two years since the last review now veers toward European, with no US or English styles.

There are however, a lot of Euros on sale, and prices are really quite good - 10% off for a mixed six.

I was not offered assitance while I perused, but the guy was willing to talk beer at the checkout.

I don't think the years have been kind to this establishment, here's hoping for an upturn.

Not in the Platinum or Leura league.

Visited this place the same day I visited Platinum Cellars. Had I not visited Platinum, I would have rated this place the best in Sydney....
Picked up several Gueuzes, some Oktoberfests, and a few 500mL English ales, of which there are plenty.
A recent Aussie BA discussion has ben centred around Guinness Foreign Extra stout not being available in the country.... Found it at this place, so that's a big tick.
Quite easy to get to, off Briens Rd/Old Windsor Rd.
Very much worth the trip wherever you are in Sydney.
