Our Trippel has always been a big, beautiful Belgian-style ale, but in 2015, we tweaked the recipe to include a new yeast variety and even more complex malt profile. This golden beer opens with a bold blast of spicy Noble hops, courtesy of Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh, and gives way to the fruity aromas offered by our traditional Belgian yeast. Brewed with Pilsner and Munich malts, Trippel is classically smooth and complex, and sings with a high-note of sweet citrus before a pleasantly dry finish delivers a warm, strong boozy bite. Give Trippel a sip to get you smiling.

12fl.oz.brown bottle with a best before: 23FEB07. Pours a hazy gold, with an amber hue. Sports a thick two-finger white head as well as tons of lace.
Sweet fruity malt nose with a Trappist yeast twang, just about sums it up.
The flavor starts sweet, mostly of bubblegum and banana, then turns a bit tart. The tartness pans out to a nice clean finish. Mildly complex and well balanced, it's suprisingly Belgian in the flavor dept. A little warmth to the finish as well.
Good medium body with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel...an easy drinker for sure. I was quite pleased with this offering from New Belgium, as I've only had their "Fat Tire" which did not impress me at all.
This Triple is good, cheers!

Tastes like a good strong Belgium ale that I would buy again.

A good trippel. What feels different with this one is that it is very crisp and light. Does not taste alcohol as much as others. There is the typical spice for Belgian beers. I like it.

Clean crisp complimented with notes of cardamom. Classic style with hints of spice good for holiday season.

From a 12oz bottle dated Enjoy By: 26 May 24 into a pint glass.
Pours an ever so slightly hazy yellowish orange with about two fingers of white head. Incredible retention and lacing.
Smells fruity...some banana and citrus with clove and some baking spices.
Taste is kind of fruity sweet with some cinnamon and nutmeg in the background.
Medium bodied and pretty smooth drinking with a fairly dry finish. Medium to high carbonation. Yeasty aftertaste.
Not a style I grab often but this is enjoyable enough.

What a great beer. I try to avoid scoring all components of a beer equally, but I could not avoid it with this one.
Color: Beautiful bright yellow.
Smell: Tons of different fruit aromas, most notably banana. Also some mild spice notes in there.
Taste: Excellent with more fruit flavors coming in as well as some hops.
Feel: Crisp, clean, and very noticeably dry. Has a very refreshing finish.
Overall this is a super solid brew that I would strongly recommend to anyone. I love the strong ABV and the easy drinkability. The lacing was absolutely gorgeous as well. This is one hell of a beer!

Not a big New Belgium fan, but credit where it's due. It could do with more on the nose, because I get more banana on the tongue than on the sniff. Even then, the taste doesn't have the depth of lower-production beers. Still, it's imminently drinkable. The carbonation in some of the Belgian classics can be a frustrating, belch-inducing hurdle. This one is dangerously drinkable.

A golden color with a clear look. The smell is wonderful sweet and fruity citrus with a similar taste. The feel is a bit thin but overall a wonderful sweet trippel.

Smooth, sweet, and imminently drinkable. A session beer with a (relatively) high ABV? Yes please! It’s so inoffensive as to be forgettable in a sense. That may be its greatest downfall. However, that golden ale look, the Pilsner notes in the taste, and the smooth delivery make this one I will go back to with glee!
