22 oz bomber, $4

A: Clear light copper body. Nice head and retention:
S: Not a huge hop aroma, not sure when this was bottled, but seems fresh enough
T: Galaxy dominates the flavor profile. I love galaxy hops, so this is fine with me.
M: Good carbonation. Drinks like other NB IPAs.
O: $4 bomber of a good double IIPA? Wish this would replace their Rampant.

Pours a clear medium golden with a niecely formed sticky white head that leaves two broken rings of lace as it settles slowly into a frothy mass.Green leafy and herbal hops in the nose with a tinge of metallic, quite dry.A medium feel to the beer not light and not overly heavy, dryer on the palate with leafy/herbal hops dominating,it's a big dose of the herbal hops with not much of the citric sharpness, the malt base is very German in nature in my opinion.Like a beefed up English IPA to me but done right,I like it.

Amber hued with excellent clarity and a fingernail of eggshell white foam. Brussels lacing. Enticing aroma of tropical hops. Mango and passion fruit aromas along with light malt. The tropical fruit hop flavor is razor sharp and intensely bitter. There's a bit of light malt to balance it all out. The mouth is fairly carbonated and a bit sticky, true to the style.

The nose is mainly big resiny, grassy, piney hops with a little malt sneaking through.
Pours brilliant gold amber under a 2” amber finely bubbled off-white foam cap. Exceptional clingy lace.
Very creamy palate dominated by mellow yeast and hop fruit flavors that grow towards grapefruit rind to quinine bitter on the finish. The malt is dry and restrained.
Comes in on the high side of medium body with refreshing medium low carbonation. Overall a dry beer but not quite crisp.

Poured with a big three-finger fluffy head that lasted nicely and lace the glass beautifully to the end. The beer was a nice amber color and very clear with nice carbonation bubbles adding to the head. Aroma is citrus, floral and a slight note of caramel sweetness. The taste is also citrusy, with some piney resin tones with some malty, bready sweetness in the finish. Mouthfeel was full-bodied and silky smooth. Overall, this is one well crafted DIPA, not something that NB is particularly known for. Their recent Hop Kitchen releases are really proving that they can bring it in the IPA/DIPA world. I was pleasantly surprised!

Poured a lovely clear amber body with a half-finger bubbly off-white head that receded to a cap of lace. Very nice looking and true to form for the style. Scents of earthy, vegetal, oniony hops, high levels of pine resin, notes of grapefruit peel, indeterminate citrus and lesser levels of tropical fruit. Overall impression of aroma is of a classic DIPA, fitting more in the West Coast style with all the normal aromas present in the right amounts. Quite nice and very hoppy. Flavor begins with notes of pine resin, earthy, vegetal hops, light alcohol, orange flesh and indeterminate citrus zest. The middle opens up stronger notes of pine resin and some floral hops, with a nice grapefruit peel presence and a very light alcohol level. Finish is bitter with notes of floral hops, pine resin, grapefruit pith and peel, earthy, vegetal hops with a slight onion note and light alcohol. Aftertaste is pine resin, earthy hops and grapefruit peel. Overall impression of flavor is of a good West Coast style DIPA. It is very hop-forward, bitter and wonderfully bold. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a resinous feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a classic West Coast DIPA, very true to style and quite nice. Overall this is a good West Coast DIPA. It is not as unique as one would hope given the hop and malt bill, but it is pleasantly hoppy in aroma and flavor, quite bitter in flavor and very nice in mouthfeel. While not unique, it is a good DIPA worth having if you like the style.
