Pours dark amber color with finger width foamy head. Mild head retention and lacing on side of the glass. Has a grapefruit and slightly piney aroma. Pale malty taste up front, followed by a slightly hoppy taste. There is a hint of grapefruit at the end. This beer does seem a little watered down, but is overall decent.

Bottle from Tipples. Enjoy by Dec 2014, poured 8/17/14. Pours dark amber brown but clear with plenty of light showing through, and a one finger fluffy white head. Light hop aroma, floral, with some light malt breadiness. Flavor is bready malt, low sweetness, some floral hop notes, but very much malt forward almost like a fresh mash. A bit watery and low on flavor but altogether inoffensive and easy drinking. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty bland but not bad in any way.

Pours a deep, orange-amber, with a thick, luxurious head of fine off-white foam. Lace is loopy but nice.
Nose is primarily caramel malts and floral hops, in a nicely-rendered balance.
Taste is a definite classic pale ale (rather than the usual modern American pale ale, which is often indistinguishable from some IPAs), with hops present, but the caramel malts playing an equal (almost leading) role, providing balance and weight to this easy-drinking ale. Nicely done. Not a world changer, but a solid brew for a late Summer/early Fall day.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a clear texture. There was an inch of foamy, long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A very slight aroma of hops, fruit, and malt. OK, but it doesn't necessarily grab you.
T: Tasted of an average amount of hops, light fruit (grapefruit), malt, and a hint of pine. The flavor here is somewhat unbalanced: The hops appear in the finish instead of up front. It's also a little thin. Very uneven.
M: A fair amount of carbonation with a somewhat slick finish. Light-bodied.
O: This isn't an offensively bad beer by any stretch, but it is uneven. Not bad, but there are better APAs out there.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 12/14/2014. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, floral grass, caramel, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, light chocolate, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, light chocolate, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange zest, pine, caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, light chocolate, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, balance, and robustness of citrus hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, fairly creamy/sticky, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good robustness, balance, and complexity of citrus hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Seems like a pretty run of the mill APA, not really sure why it's a special fall seasonal. It's good, don't get me wrong, but no different than most of the other pales out there.

A. Aggressive poor ½ inch white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Carbonation is evident. Color Amber.
S. Like delicious fresh hops and a lot of it. A little skunky but the good kind. Smells like Rampants little brother but like potting soil.
T. Pine needles and a little sweet. I don’t taste the Amarillo. Taste watered down.
M. Watery, dry, but refreshing.
O. The beer is good but it taste like NB Ranger beer only a little watered down. Average buzz for 6%.
