Yep, it's Belgian allright. Nice malty yeasty nose of banana, clove and spice. Good golden color and solid flavor. I like this one but might like it more if it was heavier with some dark fruits. Solid effort, just not as complex or sophisticated as the Belgium style it copies.

Will buy it again when next season rolls around.

Enjoyed from the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This nice farmhouse pours a lightly hazy yellow with a nice head of dissipating foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and excellent lacing. Nose of crackers, light spicy yeast notes, and subtle lemon grass with light herbal hops. Flavors follow the nose with dry crackers and sweet light malts on the front and middle that fade to a light spicy rye grain note with subtle herbal hops. Nice mouth feel, light carbonation and a very dry finish. Solid easy drinking farmhouse. Nice.

Cheers

Mostly clear tangerine-yellow in appearance. Head is fluffy, wispy and white, of good retention. Fairly standard American saison smell, bready, grainy in the background, fairly subdued, well-rounded spiciness stronger but not too strong, and very pleasant. Robust grains, banana, dry white wine, spicy funk, distinct peppercorn, and metallic notes on the palate, it's a stack of crackers in a glass. Hops can be found if looked for, subtle compared to yeast- and rye-imparted spiciness. Dry finish. Light-bodied, very spritzy but then sudsy carbonation, crisp. Too bubbly for my taste, having a time of it keeping it down even though it is quite delicious.
