Pours nice dark brown with nice creamy beige head which was persistent leaving nice lacing on the glass through the entire beer. Aroma is of roasted malts with a touch of molasses. Taste is nice rich malty flavor with a hint of rich fruty sweetness. The taste also has a lingering aftertaste of a light, but not overpowering molasses sweetness. Very good beer for cold winters.

Amazing beer. Smells of alcohol. Smooth, crisp, and warm. Malty with dark fruity notes. Every bit of a dubbel but porter drinkers might like this one if you are looking to expand. This is a great underrated beer.

Great beer. Smells of alcohol. Smooth, crisp, and warm. Malty with dark fruity notes. Every bit of a dubbel but porter drinkers might like this one if you are looking to expand. This is a sophisticated beer.

I like this one a lot...complex malty and fruity flavors with a smooth finish and mild but ample carbonation and a nice alcohol kick. Check it out!

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip.

L - Pours a dark, hazy mahogany with a reddish-amber tinge in certain lighting. About an inch of tan head that coats the edge of the glass and leaves noticeable lacing. Their website describes it as "billowing."

S - A very smoky and salty quality at first, reminiscent of a smoked porter. Some roasted malt, burnt sugar, caramel, cocoa, and dark fruit.

T - Similar to the nose, caramel, bittersweet chocolate, dark fruit and spice. There's a slight alcohol presence toward the end but finishes with a familiar biscuit malt flavor, that of Fat Tire.

M - Medium bodied, very low carbonation, smooth and creamy with a slightly sticky, dry mouthfeel to finish.

O - A pretty good Dubbel as I've not had many, but this is a nice winter warmer sipper. A good value as well for the higher ABV %. Would try this again maybe at a holiday gathering.

Poured from a bottle, had a nice big head and dark amber color. I tasted a very roasty malt flavor, and some fruity flavors. Seems like it had a peculiar and off-putting smell. But it does cover the alcohol remarkably well. First beer I've had from this style, and can't say I'm excited to try others.

A hazy dark brown with a slight head and lacing. Aroma has roasted malt hints. Taste is a belgian ale style with fruit hints. A well made light Belgian style beer.
