And I want to rate this lower just cuz from a big Brewery but while this is good for a big business beer definitely chocolate finish as they advertised this is a solid Black Lager if you like Stouts and porters with a chocolate taste then you should definitely check this out I usually stick to smaller and local beers but I gotta tip my hat to this one well done

Poured into a snifter. Beer is black with a thick white head, and smells of malt and roasted nuts. Taste is like a very muted porter-- nuts, toffee, yeast, but is not bitter at all. Feel is light, very balanced, and leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

This beer is very enjoyable, like a light alternative to a porter beer but is nowhere near as heavy. I like this beer overall.

Tasty. Good mouth feel. Nice nose. Toasty with light malty sweetness. Not the banana, caramel and cocoa of a dark Belgian Abby Dubel. Not the full body of a Porte/Stout. In the light bodied side as a Larger that is labeled to be.
I likes it. I’ll be checking for it when I comes on special. LOL

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. On label is Enjoy By of '10JUN18'.
Clear, dark brown body, with mahogany highlights when presented to light. Hard pour results in one finger khaki head, which settles to ring and islands. Lots of spots of lacing.
Aroma of dark roasted malt, earthy, faint chocolate, and faint dark fruit.
Taste of dark roasted malt and dark chocolate, dark fruit, some sweet and peppery toward the end. Rather dry, not a lot of lingering aftertaste. Minimal bitterness.
Thin to medium mouth feel.
A tasty dark lager, dry and peppery. Some layers of taste but short in duration.

Very dark brown color, but can still see light through it. Fairly thin head dissappears quickly. Roasty malt taste up front, with some spice, and almost a weird banana flavor. Not bad overall, but not something I'll seek out.

Poured a very dark black color with no head and slight lacing. Slight malt hints. A slight malt taste. Light bodied with a small amount of carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle.
Look - dark brown, nearly black, but still transparent. two finger head with good lacing that sticks. doesn't get much better than this
Smell - toasted malts, cocoa, coffee. quite smoky. a hint of fruitiness as well.
Taste - fairly light on the palate, but smokiness dominates in the taste. nice balanced and smooth finish.
Feel - medium-bodied (though on the light side). medium carbonation, and on the light side for alcohol.
Overall - liked it more than I expected, and a great one to have if you're looking for something light on ABV but still strong in flavor. This one probably should be characterized as a Schwarzbier rather than an Euro Dark Lager, but its all good nonetheless.
