Notes:
Bursting with tropical aromas and juicy fruit flavors from Mosaic and Amarillo hops, this golden IPA is perfectly bitter with a refreshing, sublime finish.

What is the deal with IPA's? This one in particular taste like sewage mixed with rotten orange peels. Easily one of the worst beers I've ever had. 0/10

Date on can: 02/2/2023. Recommendation from my dad.
Pours a crystal clear golden, amber in color with a finger thick frothy head with moderate lasting potential, eventually dissipating to a thinner layer of froth. Carbonation looks below average but zesty, if you swirl the beer around in your glass. Plenty of lacing as you drink. Most of it slides down to the beer. I like the look, it hints at balance and drinkability.
Lots of tropical fruits on the nose; predominantly mango, and pineapple. There's also some pine, bubblegum and toasted bread aromas in there. Almost a hint of banana bread.
The taste is toasted, buttery malts up front which give way to the tropical fruitiness of the hops -- again, mango and pineapple -- finishing a bit more piney, resinous and dry with lingering pine and lemon rind on the tongue. ABV is nicely masked. I'm not a huge fan of the Ranger IPA, I found it a bit too piney, but this one lends a nice tropical/citrus profile to the hops that balances the flavor profile out nicely.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with zesty carbonation. This one manages to come off as both having a solid amount of body, more creamy than chewy, while remaining quite drinkable and refreshing without feeling overly carbonated. I quite like it. It does coat the tongue, but very subtly.
It's been awhile since I've had anything new from New Belgium. I quite enjoyed this one. It's not anything extremely unique or impressionable, but it's a finely crafted AIPA. Probably not something I'd pick up regularly but I definitely wouldn't turn one down, and I'd also like to try this one out on tap. Cheers!

Pours a medium clear copper with a pillowy head that dissipates slowly leaving a light film and moderate lacing.
Citrus pith, light pine, some broad tropical notes on the nose.
Taste follows closely with an added gentle malty sweetness. Some bitterness on the finish.
Medium body with a rather quick finish.
A solid serviceable classic IPA

Pours a crystal clear yellow color with a thick white colored head that takes a while to fade, lacing the glass nicely on the way down. Smells of sweet toasted malts and a nice piney and fruity aroma at the end. Tastes of a nice light bodied malt base with a nice mix of fruity, floral, and piney hops to round it out. Light, crisp, perfect amount of carbonation, this is a good rendition of an American IPA.

Pale gold in color with a thick white head. Fruity aroma. Medium carbonation. Easy to drink; malt presence is dry and hops are restrained. It could have more flavor, but it's alright.

Pours out of the can a crystal clear gold with minimal head. Smells like mango, pineapple, and slightly piney. Taste follows the nose fairly well, with the addition of some earthy flavors that come out at the back end. Nice carbonation for steady sippin

Pours near flat, little to no head or lacing, basic and non remarkable hop forward flavour, just ok, def. Not a choice at price point!

I thought I had had this a while ago. Apparently I have not it just forgot to review. In any event, I’ll tell you this isn’t as good as the other Voodoo Rangers I’ve had in the part. Not as appealing to the eye or nose, the taste is mostly bitter with little to no fruitiness to pull out of the drink. It’s ok, not their better ones, but it’ll do in a pinch.

I like this one but almost never buy it... I guess that kinda sums it up. Hoppy and beautiful to look at, it gives you a decent IPA experience while being available seemingly everywhere

The most important thing about this beer is it’s avalible at every convenience store.
Look is light gold. Smell is pine and hops. The taste is hoppy and slightly fruity, mainly grapefruit and pineapple, with a bit of malt finish. It’s not too bitter and has slight bite of alcohol that lingers.
It is a mild and widely avalible IPA. The tropical fruity notes are nice and it’s very easy drinking. It’s good but nothing special.

Had on tap at Lucero's Tavern IV
On arrival a solid bone white one finger head that was overflowing from the bartender pouring the head out the glass, that slowly became slightly rocky, but has very nice retention was present. The body is a very lightly hazy gold color with lots of active fine carbonation. Some decent lacing forms.
Aroma is a bit of a benchmark for a modern American ipa. Fruity and hoppy with hints of bitterness and a strong citrus and lightly tropical smell. Not much else going on here.
Taste is again pretty simple. Some hop bitterness is present before coming into a hop profile that is basically the same as the aroma: Grapefruit with a hint of guava/pineapple. Again high quality but pretty one note. Malts are hard to pick up over the fruity hops. Despite not being a hazy this one isn't very resinous or dank and leans heavily on the fruit, with a slight beery note to remind d you this is in fact a beer. Not super sweet but it's bitter and fruity woth just a hint of everything else.
Feel is easydrinking but full bodied with a relatively neutral mouthfeel but still has a bit of mouthcoating malts. A medium to long finish reminds you that this isn't a light beer and maybe you should slow down a bit.
Overall I dundertand the voodoo ranger line, "IPAs" that aren't overly bitter but also don't advertise themselves as fruity. The perfect way to get bud and coors drinkers to try a craft IPA. It's not fruity so you're still a man, but it's certainly not bitter like old school WCIPAs that would scare away somebody used to easy drinking beers. It's decent but a bit boring and standard.
