Pours out clear pale gold in color. The head a slightly off-white with very good retention. Seeing some decent lacing.

Lots of pine in the nose. Smells a bit mossy. Picking up some grains and maybe some grapefruit. All in all pretty aromatic.

Very piney but with a good amount of malts to pack in up. Bitterness is way up there. The sweetness is more of a malty one if anything. Not fruity.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Feels a bit oily. Sticks to the palate.

Look - very clear golden color - 2 finger head - dissipates rapidly, but a nice foam ring continues on

Smell - At first it smelled funky and almost bad, but then many hop notes come through: pine, floral, citrus, cattiness, pineapple, mango

Taste - hop bitterness is pretty powerful (as expected) but not overpowering. Fruit flavors rush in and previously mentioned hop aroma. Biscuit/cracker/bready malt comes in briefly

Feel - lighter bodied - not as active as hoped for

Overall - It's an ok beer. Decent bite and powerful hops. Somewhat funky. Not my favorite IIPA. I don't believe that I would buy this one again. It's decent on occasion.

Voodoo ranger pours a copper color, nice long lasting head. Earthy aroma. Flavor is earthy base, wet hop notes. Good body and feel. Overall, pretty decent and big.

Solid IIPA for the price at local corner store $10/6pck
Very comparable to 90 minute (DFH)
Strong malty caramel, canned mandarin notes balanced with easy bitterness and citrus aroma from hops.

12oz bottle poured into Duvel tulip. Bottom right corner of label ENJOY BY: 28OCT18

Appearance - Big billowing white pancake batter head with massive retention and patchy lacing. Clear gold body with mild carbonation. 4.25

Smell - Full bodied aroma comprising grass and honey. 4.25

Taste - Strong orange rind all throughout with a grassy body underneath. Bitter aftetaste but not unpleasant. Alcohol is decently hidden. 4.25

Mouthfeel - The head gives it a bit of a creamy texture on top of the abrasive, astringent body, which quickly disspiates in the finish so that it's not a bother. 4

Overall - Great, easy to find IPA. 4

Look is straw golden color with fruit bowl malty scent. Taste is very smooth sweetness up front tempered with a careful malt back bone. Mouthfeel is light and quenchable. I am a New Belgium fan & this is a very smooth DIPA settling in at 9% doesn't compromise flavor for booziness. I still dont get the Voodoo Ranger pitch. Ranger was a fine accomplishment and should still stand on it's own as the bench mark for NB' s IPA's

Beer looks very nice. 1” head, full of carbonation, and crystal clear. The feel is a bit light. Fair amount of orange peel in flavor. Bit of sweentness. Honey? There is some smell of hops, not overprowering. Doesn’t taste or feel like a 9% beer. I like.

12oz bottle into Nonic Pint
BB 10/7/18
Bright clear Amber, with fluffy off white head, nice lacing
Sticky sweet, resinous, piney old school awesomeness
Booze laced candied malt, notes of tangerine and peach, followed by resiny dry bittering finish
Medium bodied, with a boozy syrupy feel
Overall a nice old school double, actually appreciate the booze a bit

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 mi) bottle into a conical pint glass; reads "Enjoy by 9 September 2018."
A: Pours a light to full copper color with a one inch head. Modest retention and limited Belgian lacing.
S: Aroma includes lemon, raw cane sugar, caramel, lychee, and a little pine.
T: Sweet. Taste largely matches nose, with the addition of cantaloupe. Maybe almost a bit Tutti-fruity. Sweetness of caramel malts bery present, but relatively light bitterness for the style.
M: Light to medium bodied; good persistence of carbonation. Sweet, but not unpleasant aftertaste.
O: A very well conceived and executed American Double India Pale Ale. Really enjoyed the pallet of aromas and flavors.
