A barely yellow beer with a thin, white head that leaves a few specks of lacing. Grainy smell with a tiny hint of lime. The flavor however is full of lime. This thing tastes like a margherita with a little grain sweetness and a slightly bitter finish. For what this beer is, a low ABV fruit beer, it is good.

New Belgium Brewing "Citradelic Exotic Lime Ale"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, "ENJOY BY: ...30APR17..." but not sampled until 12JUN17
Purchased for $2.29 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ on 06JUN17 (I have to check my dates better!)

Notes via stream of consciousness: Seeing as how this is an "exotic lime ale" I doubt a little extra time in the bottle will kill it, but damn, I'm getting tired of finding old beer at Total Wine & More. Anyway, very cool label with the halves of lime illustrated as audio speakers. Let's pour it and see what we get... hazy light straw body beneath a finger-thick head of creamy/rocky bright white foam. The aroma is not as lime-like as I'd expected it to be, although there's some. The grainy malt comes through nicely though. I also get a lot of what I'd call citrus pith. It's mineralish; and I'm getting some vegetal notes as well. Moving on to the flavor, it's similar. In some ways it's like a Corona with lime, but it's also more than that. On the other hand, it's really not that much more than that. At least it's nicely balanced. Easy to drink. Medium leaning medium-light in body and gently crisp. Not bad but not great.

Well this is certainly a lime drink. Not that it is overpowering as it's not, but the base beer is just a way to have a beer with some lime infused. It's lime with a little sweetness and mild tart. It is refreshing and would be even better later in the summer, maybe even with an ice cube to keep is cold. Slightly green hue to the soft golden ale. No hopping to speak of. Aroma is almost a little like a lime soda. Not that sweet but reminiscent of my childhood (or more recently at restaurants that sell Mexican soda). Light bodied.
Thanks Bry.

This is one and done for me. Definitely get the soapyness some else mentioned. There are other better choices.
