Appearance: Pours a soft drink pig/berry red. Nice pink-tinged head and little to no lace.

Aroma: Fruity all the way.

Taste: Light and fruity, with a malty finish and a touch of watermelon and lime in the finish. Pleasant light-drinking beer.

330ml can, 3 months beyond enjoy by date, unfortunately.

Pink shade of salmon. Matching foam that fizzes out after a few minutes.

All the listed fruit mix nicely in the nose, but nonetheless I think of a Mojito immediately for some reason. And then tequila, must be the agave. Fresh even this old.

Taste lays the hibiscus on top of watermelon and then agave steals the show, only to exit so lime can carry it all out with an appetizing zing. Carbonation raises these quite delicate aromas and keeps things lively. Quenching yet making you want to drink more. No hops or malt, and the thin body fits this beer perfectly.

A surprising success for such a bold endeavour. Really good and an interesting innovation.

Canned Oct 20 2019

Translucent orangey-pink, with moderate, quickly-dissipating white head, that leaves a ring, light covering of foam, and 1/2" of streaky lacing.More head than I expected .

Popping the top gives an immediate aroma of lime rind. In the glass it's lime, plus some vague other sweet fruit smell. Guessing that's watermelon+hibiscus.

Taste is lime zest, and watermelon candy, both with less intensity than the aroma. Very slight sour tang, and some light bitterness that lingers past finish. Slight chalky/flavorless citrus rind lingers on the tip of the tongue.Guessing that last bit is from the agave.

Feel is light , but not watery, with moderate sharp carbonation. A feeling of having licked chalk or dry flour persists on the tip of the tongue after finish. (Agave?)

Overall pleasant, but would be more so on a hot summer day, rather than this snowy/icy/rainy February one. :)

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. My first experience with Agua Fresca. Light, refreshing, low calorie and low alcohol. A good beer for tacos and breakfast. We will probably carry it in the restaurant as we move into the warmer months.

This offering was billed as pushing "the boundaries of what a beer can be." I thought that I would give this a try even though I tend to like my beer to taste like beer.

Pours the color of dark rose wine. The nose is tarty and fruity. The flavor is the same but it also tastes like there is some fake "10% juice" flavoring in it as well.

In the end, it finishes not too sweet and not too sour. I guess I am not quite experimental enough for this offering.

12oz can, not sure what I paid, certainly less than $2. 4% ABV per the can. No specs per the website. Brewed with lime, watermelon, hibiscus and agave in collaboration with Primus microcerveceria.
Pours out to a sparkingly clear medium pink/rose, forming a small white head with poor retention and very sparse lacing. Carbonation is moderate, ~2.5 carbs or so. Nose of tart watermelon, faint lime, no hop or yeast character. Mouthfeel is pleasantly tart, light bodied. Taste of tart watermelon and subtle lime. Not picking up any hibiscus, certainly the agave has been fermented out. Finishes clean, watery, refreshing. No off flavors. Minimal very subtle bitterness.
This is a decent summer thirst quencher, however the acidity is enough that it would upset my stomach to drink more than one of these unless I was drinking it with food, then it would probably be fine. Would probably go great with burgers and picnic fare. An interesting drink, worth checking out of you're looking for an easy drinking summer thrist quencher, but here in Michigan it's snowing so.....

Happy New CANned Collab Beer Sunday (Week 770) as I try to get out from under the backlog here at Chez Woody. It is a real boon for The CANQuest (tm), but I have pretty much stopped buying more beer for the meantime.

From the CAN: "Agua Fresca Cerveza"; "Watermelon*Lime*Hibiscus*Agave"; "Collaboration with Cervecería Primus, Mexico City"; "In Collaboration with Mexico City's Cervecería Primus, this agua fresca ale features hibiscus, agave, watermelon, and lime for a fresh, vibrant sip. Inspired by the Mexican agua fresca tradition of fruit infused beverages."

Once more, just like with Platform, I am coming to the party after the brewery has been sold. 8={} I Crack!ed open the vent to discover that it was a brimful craft CAN! I'll bet that corporate won't allow that to CANtinue. It foamed up beautifully during my slow, gentle C-Line Glug to form just over two fingers of what I would describe as freshly-spun pink cotton CANdy. Head retention was moderate, but it left a LOT of lacing in its wake. Color was a reddish-pink (SRM = N/A), a shade that I would need a Pantone chart to identify, with NE-quality clarity. Nose was very fruity & floral with the watermelon & hibiscus leading the way. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but close with a pleasant effervescence. The taste was definitely hibiscus-driven with watermelon & lime behind it. This was a nice, fruity beer, but I do not much care for hibiscus. This would make for a nice Summertime thirst-quencher, but on a snowy (!) Fall morning, I was just not feeling it. Finish was semi-dry, not at all sweet, and very refreshing as I prepare for my next beer. YMMV.

This tastes like if you sprayed apple scented cologne into water. It makes me hate the season of fall.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a dark pink/light red color with about 1/2 inch of reddish-white head that had low retention and lacing.

Lots of fruit and flower in the nose, not much grains or hops.

Same on the tongue, strong fruit, solid floral notes, and no basic "beer" aspects.

The body was light, smooth, crisp, and had a (surprisingly) semi-dry finish.

Drinkability was very good, I could knocking back a bunch of these during the warm weather.

Overall, a very nice brew, certainly worth trying if you see it.

A: The beer is clear reddish pink in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high pink colored head that left a large, wide ring of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of hibiscus are present in the nose along with notes of watermelon.
T: The taste follows the smell, having initial flavors of hibiscus and watermelon, but finishes with additional notes of lime.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is light and refreshing. I liked the combination of different flavors in the taste.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden/pinkish color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, tart limes. Taste is of hibiscus, limes, agave, a hint of cinnamon, light tartness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, it's a bit unusual, but a decent beer.

This beer wants to be enjoyed on a hot, summer day.

Light, dry lime and watermelon notes that lean more towards a wine or seltzer taste than a beer.

Nevertheless, a very refreshing light beer that is perfect for the summer months.

Medium carbonation with a just below average body.
Aroma offline juice, watermelon, citrus, watermelon rind
Taste has very little sweetness, almost dry which is actually nice. It is sort of sparkling wine meets beer but in a positive way.
Not a typical beer but great for hot days, good summer dessert beer. Would definitely get this again

I really enjoyed this stuff. Smell, taste, look, and feel combine to form something greater than each of those factors. Everything works together really nicely, from the tart lime to the subtle watermelon, from the light pucker to the abundant carbonation, this is is a beer that you can really enjoy in abundance on these last few hot days. I dig it!

From a 12 oz can into a pint glass, thick poufy white head that fades at a rapid clip leaving only a thin collar. Reddish-brown hazy color with no precipitating carbonation. On the nose it’s fruity for sure with notes of watermelon, lime, and yes, agave (nailed it). Taste is refreshing and citrusy-sweet forward with that nice agave note. Little to no hops presence. Mouth is crisp, bubbly, and refreshing. Overall, I found it to be a more complex version of most current one-note “fruity” beers. Pretty good; would try again.

Poured from a can into a tap glass.

Pours nearly pink with chill haze; nice head and lacing.

Aromas of lime and watermelon. Floral and grassy aromas as well.

The brew is fruity, but lightly so, on the tip of the tongue, with some harsh grain in midstream that gives way to a fairly crisp, earthy/grassy finish.

The brew is nicely carbonated, light, and very drinkable.

Overall, a refreshing brew. The flavors are a little muddled and off.
