My favorite beer of all time. Originally had better packaging but underwent a change to try to compete with white claw. Very subtle all around but the interplay of the 4 additives over a unumposing cerveza was a magical experience that I'll never forget, it was consumed during all special occasions in my community. Sadly, New Belgium has slashed many of the beers that once made than an interesting and loved brewery. Live moves forward.

Appearance: Pours a soft drink pig/berry red. Nice pink-tinged head and little to no lace.
Aroma: Fruity all the way.
Taste: Light and fruity, with a malty finish and a touch of watermelon and lime in the finish. Pleasant light-drinking beer.

330ml can, 3 months beyond enjoy by date, unfortunately.
Pink shade of salmon. Matching foam that fizzes out after a few minutes.
All the listed fruit mix nicely in the nose, but nonetheless I think of a Mojito immediately for some reason. And then tequila, must be the agave. Fresh even this old.
Taste lays the hibiscus on top of watermelon and then agave steals the show, only to exit so lime can carry it all out with an appetizing zing. Carbonation raises these quite delicate aromas and keeps things lively. Quenching yet making you want to drink more. No hops or malt, and the thin body fits this beer perfectly.
A surprising success for such a bold endeavour. Really good and an interesting innovation.

Canned Oct 20 2019
Translucent orangey-pink, with moderate, quickly-dissipating white head, that leaves a ring, light covering of foam, and 1/2" of streaky lacing.More head than I expected .
Popping the top gives an immediate aroma of lime rind. In the glass it's lime, plus some vague other sweet fruit smell. Guessing that's watermelon+hibiscus.
Taste is lime zest, and watermelon candy, both with less intensity than the aroma. Very slight sour tang, and some light bitterness that lingers past finish. Slight chalky/flavorless citrus rind lingers on the tip of the tongue.Guessing that last bit is from the agave.
Feel is light , but not watery, with moderate sharp carbonation. A feeling of having licked chalk or dry flour persists on the tip of the tongue after finish. (Agave?)
Overall pleasant, but would be more so on a hot summer day, rather than this snowy/icy/rainy February one. :)

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. My first experience with Agua Fresca. Light, refreshing, low calorie and low alcohol. A good beer for tacos and breakfast. We will probably carry it in the restaurant as we move into the warmer months.

This offering was billed as pushing "the boundaries of what a beer can be." I thought that I would give this a try even though I tend to like my beer to taste like beer.
Pours the color of dark rose wine. The nose is tarty and fruity. The flavor is the same but it also tastes like there is some fake "10% juice" flavoring in it as well.
In the end, it finishes not too sweet and not too sour. I guess I am not quite experimental enough for this offering.

12oz can, not sure what I paid, certainly less than $2. 4% ABV per the can. No specs per the website. Brewed with lime, watermelon, hibiscus and agave in collaboration with Primus microcerveceria.
Pours out to a sparkingly clear medium pink/rose, forming a small white head with poor retention and very sparse lacing. Carbonation is moderate, ~2.5 carbs or so. Nose of tart watermelon, faint lime, no hop or yeast character. Mouthfeel is pleasantly tart, light bodied. Taste of tart watermelon and subtle lime. Not picking up any hibiscus, certainly the agave has been fermented out. Finishes clean, watery, refreshing. No off flavors. Minimal very subtle bitterness.
This is a decent summer thirst quencher, however the acidity is enough that it would upset my stomach to drink more than one of these unless I was drinking it with food, then it would probably be fine. Would probably go great with burgers and picnic fare. An interesting drink, worth checking out of you're looking for an easy drinking summer thrist quencher, but here in Michigan it's snowing so.....
