A smooth, creamy, and refreshing coffee beer? Thanks to our friends at High Brew Coffee, that's exactly what this beer is. We infused a cream ale with oats and High Brew's cold brew for a velvety mouthfeel and refreshing finish that will have you wanting more! Infused with nitrogen, so pour hard!

Smell of cold brew coffee
Creamy brown color
Light carbonation
Light mouthfeel
Tastes like weak coffee, a little creaminess
Overall just ok. Doesn't have the creaminess of other nitro brews. Didn't have that cascading bubbles effect that nitros normally have as this did not have a nitro release ball. Misleading name.

Poured from can into tulip, vigorous pour yielded a smallish 1/2 finger tan colored head, then the nitro kicked in and the top 3 inches of the beer started releasing tons of tiny bubbles, good retention and lacing. Rubyish black in the can, some light passes thru. Smells of roasted malt and coffee. Taste follows the nose, coffee & roasted malt dominate the palate, the finish has a light bitterness, no residual aftertaste. Drinks more along the lines of a schwarzbier than a cream ale, but a nice beer regardless of where it falls.

Nitro Cold Brew Cream Ale brewed by
New Belgium Brewing Company, with an ABV of 5.00% This American Cream Ale pours out of a 12o can into a pint beer glass. The color looks likebcola, not saying that is a bad thing. It is a nice deep brown color with a nice off white head. There is some nice lacing to this brew as well, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is Rich with coffee Roasted goodness mixed with mirror sweetness. You also pick a nice nice amount of roasted grains and malts in the smell as well. So far, Nitro Cold Brew Cream Ale is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. You first pick up on the roasted coffee notes mixed with other roasted grains and malts. Then a nice slight sweetness at the end. If you are not a fan of coffee do not look this brew up. However if you like black dark coffee look this brew up. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a real nice balance to it. This brew would going nice with a meal or a early morning brew. The body of Nitro Cold Brew Cream Ale is a solid medium. As far as the mouth feel it is Bold, Roasted, Rich, Coffee, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I am going to give Nitro Cold Brew Cream Ale a 4.25 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the opportunity to.

Poured from a can. Turns dark brown in color with a foamy tan head and some lacing. Smells of lactose, malt and coffee beans. Taste follows the smell with the usual smooth nitro mouth feel. Haven't been a big nitro fan but I like this beer.

I got this as a single at Wegman's on my last trip over there before the quarantine. My uncle & I had just come from a late dinner/early supper at BJ's & we made a swing in on our way back into town. I had drank it previously on draft as a regular CO2 pour, but this N2 in a CAN for The CANQuest (tm) was too good to pass up/by.

From the N2 CAN: "Up Next Series"; "Crafted with High Brew cold brew coffee"; "Nitro Cream Ale with Cold-Brewed Coffee".

The "Phhshh!" that acCANponies the Crack! of the vents on these CANs always puts me in mind of the sound that the pop-top/pull-tab CANs used to make when I was a kid in the 1970s & early-1980s, before they went to the new tab & tongue design. I was not disappointed here, either, as it charged & was ready for a hard, aggro C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. I watched in rapt fascination as the cascade formed just under two fingers of dense, foamy, light-tan head with excellent retention. Color was Dark Brown to Very Dark Brown (SRM = > 27, < 34) with cola highlights throughout. Nose smelled like the coffee that I had just had with breakfast. Mmm. It's base is an American Cream Ale, though, so I was curious to see how that would play out. Mouthfeel was big, thick, full & creamy, as should be expected in/from an N2 pour. The taste was rather light, which is the tradeoff with/in N2-driven beers - nice mouthfeel, but it kills the taste. 8=( ACAs do not generally have a lot of flavor to begin with so this was not totally surprising, but I would have liked for the coffee to have been more assertive. Finish was semi-dry, pleasant, but probably not worth a return visit. YMMV.

Pours a medium brown with red highlights. Nose is lactose and coffee beans. Flavor is balanced more or less throughout, with the finish leaning to the malt, with tones of roast coffee with some dark nuts and fruits. Kind of understated but nice. Smoothness in texture is solid but maybe a little thick for the style.

A decently mass produced nitro coffee ale. I wasn't disappointed, but nothing really stands out as great to bring me back. I enjoyed the nitro/cream lacing and head when poured into a glass.
