Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Appearance is a hazy, murky yellow with a finger thick head and good retention and lacing. Floaters are present.

Tropical fruity notes, citrus, stone fruit, and grassy notes are the main aromas I smell. Guava, papaya, tangerine, apricot, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, and caramel.

Grassy, earthy, minty, and herbal. I can taste more bitter piney hops along with cracker and tea leaf notes, while the fruity notes earlier mentioned play an equal role. Feeling is medium-light.

Pretty good tropical piece.

This VR series is definitely one to enjoy...

Hazy for sure - an appealing bright yellow glow in the haze I really liked, a creamy head, and lacing. The smell is very fruity with hints of peaches and light on grapefruit. The mouthfeel was carbonated considerably to start but tamped down as it warmed and reached an interesting 'is it there at all?' level. The taste was filled with the same fruitiness as its odor - a big plus in my book. Overall, I enjoyed this and use this series as my go-to for bringing beer to visits with friends and at their homes.

On tap at Big Al's Meridian, served in a pint glass.

A: Hazy orange with off-white head and lacing.

S: Notes of tropical fruit and stone fruit; soft peach, pineapple, light crackery malt.

T: Follows the nose, definitely 'enough' juicy character for a Pale Ale without being 'bright'.

MF: Light body with soft carbonation.

O: Smooth and easy drinking, just fine for an American Hazy Pale.

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. 05 APR 2020 printed on bottom of can. So this should still be fresh another 3 months. Picked up at grocery store as part of a $10 sixer mixer.

Appearance - Pours massive offwhite pancake batter head with decent retention and low stick. Doesn't quite live up to its name, but rather lives far beyond it. This beer isn't merely hazy, it's completely opaque. Basically looks like pineapple juice without the particulates. Head is breaking down internally into a lattice that's keeping its volume, but not its density. 4.5

Smell - Dry grass on top with wet grass underneath. Interesting complexity. 4.5

Taste - Has this acidic, astringent kick up front that you expect to linger in some kind of acrid bitterness, but it finishes light, clean and refreshing. Almost like a magic trick. This is a rare feature to be sure. Can't name many if any beers with that particular quality. 4.75

Mouthfeel - Surprisingly light bodied. On the upper end of light or very bottom end of medium bodied. 5

Overall - Very unique beer. Refreshing both in drinkability and in its break from the norm. 5

Pours a hazy yellow with a creamy head that disappears quickly. Aroma is fruity with grapefruit at the forefront. Taste has the same fruitiness. Good mouth feel with only a slight bitterness.

Meh, tastes like I am drinking a lager and not an IPA. I prefer the other VooDoo offerings. I sure miss the Juicifer and Hop Avenger that I only was able to find once or twice. They were far superior in my opinion.

Poured from a can into a tulip.

Pours a hazy orange/gold with a big foamy head that retains well. Decent lacing.

Aromas of citrus, mango, and faint resin. Hints of white pepper and dankness.

The brew first presents honey-kissed graham cracker malts with mild citrus flavors of vague persuasion. The mid-palate is greeted by spicy hoppy notes and soapy ones. The brew closes quietly with fading malts and assertive hops.

The brew has a decent feel. Medium or so with good carbonation.

Another iteration of Voodoo that is decent but nothing special.

This brew was better than expected and I did expect it to be good. Upon opening it the content gave off a nice floral scent of pineapple-hoppiness. And upon pouring it comes out looking a hazy, pineapple yellow, an interesting texture to be sure. And the aroma is more telling, more floral. There is a slight foamy head, with good lacing as it dissolves. To me, it did have a flavorful pineapple taste which was tart. Certainly worth considering having another. Probably would go good with baked chicken or fish.

So the industry has figured out how to make lighter IPAs that smell fantastic, but most are still a watery mess. There's just nothing to chew on here. Pass.
