12 oz. Bottle

Pours a pretty nice amber color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/foamy white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, citrus. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy. Medium body. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Right out the gate this wasn't impressing me, it had the usual AAL yellow color and head, meanwhile the aroma was pretty mute not giving off much in the way of characteristics that you could describe.

Taste brought on a very slight, warm fall day bitterness and Saaz like hop mouthfeel. The word hop in the beer is a little bit of a curve ball, but ultimately the taste and mouthfeel are the strongest aspect of this beer, which I guess is the most important. Its a decent gateway blonde with slightly more toasted pale malt and light hopping than average.

Nice but fairly standard dark gold or amber, fairly clear. Some bone white bubbles hang on for a long time, though the main head dissipates fairly rapidly. Slightly fruity, spicy aroma, understated. Hop forward aroma but not intense. Mild hop forward flavor, cant tell what kind. Good malt character, but not intense. Dry finish with some hop bitterness.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades relatively quickly to leave a lighter level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a bready and cerealy like smell mixed with some lighter sweet aromas of orange and peach. Along with these smells comes some decently strong hoppy aromas of grassy and earthy nature with a little bit of citrus and spice aromas.

Taste – The taste begins with a cracker like flavor mixed with a little bit of a caramel sweetness. As the taste advances the sweetness fades away with some grassy and hay flavors taking its place in the middle of the tongue. This dries out the flavor, and brings some nice hop dimensions to the brew. Toward the end of the taste, an earthy taste as well as a bit of a lemon citrus join the tongue, bringing more bitterness to the brew and making for a decently crispy malted, moderately hopped, and drier taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly higher side. For the drier malt and hopped flavors of the brew the feel is very nice and makes for a great refreshing drinking- moderately hopped ale.

Overall- This was a rather nice drinker. Dry and crisp with a decent showing of hop. A brew I rather enjoyed overall.
