A - A pale golden hue with light white head that lingers.

S - Lite grass and pine scent.

T - Dat citrusy hop you've come to know and love from the west coast. Some caramel malt in there. A bit more balanced than their Imperial but I guess that's to be expected.

M - Medium carbonation and lite body. Refreshing IPA.

O - It's a good IPA. It't not going to stop me from drinking Lagunitas but it's good.

Appearance: Pours with an inch of fluffy, sudsy foam, which deflates to a slight coating across the top of the beer in little time. Very clear, light amber.
Smell: Strong notes of citrus, with a grassy undertone. Quite nice; it reminds me of summer.
Taste: Strong bitterness. The bitterness wrestles a bit with the sweetness on the tongue, but quickly the flavor is dominated by the strong, hoppy bitterness. I like it.
Mouth-feel: Lightly carbonated, not too thin.
Overall: It is pretty decent. I tend to steer away from IPAs, but this one came in a sampler pack and I'm glad it did.

Solid brew. Looks great. Crystal clear. Dark gold color. Nice head/lace.

Smells choppy/citrusy. Not a big nose.

Taste is of lots of citrus hops. Quite tasty.

Mouthfeel has a nice refreshing hop bite. Definitely a good summer beer. Slightly lingering bitterness which I am not a huge fan of.

Overall, this is a very solid IPA. Nothing out of this world, but nothing bad.

Ranger pours a clear golden color with a nice large lacing head. The aroma is sweet, lots of citrus, and a noticeable hop note. The taste has lots of citrus, and a noticeable hop bite, finishes very wet. Good feel, a little watery. Overall its a very solid IPA.

Review and update from fresh bottle. Poured into a Dogfish Head pint. Pours a medium golden amber with a two two finger off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops, grapefruit forward and light bready malt. Flavor of quite grassy and citrus hops, caramel malt, mixed light fruit; sharp citrus hop finish. Medium bodied. A nicely made old fashioned American IPA, with more hop bitterness than herbal hop flavors. Still nicely balanced and flavorful.
