When poured out the beer is yellow in color with a slight bit of orange. The head was one finger and white that receded within half a minute. The smell is definitely of fruity hops. I get mostly a of oranges or maybe tangerines with a slight hint of bitterness. Taste is pretty well balanced with a decent malt bill that definitely keeps up with the bitterness in the nose. I didn't notice any malt in the nose but definitely present in the taste. Not sure what the hop bill is here but it really is hard for me to describe. Seems to loose the fruit that I found in the nose as the hops really escape anything I can think of to describe. They really just seem to add bitterness without a tangible taste. The taste is quite balanced. Mouthfeel is thin as one would expect. Overall I really liked the beer more than the last time I had it years ago.

A: Golden and clear. Highly carbonated constantly fueling a thinly retained foam layer.

S: Yeasty with wheat overtones. Orange pithe with light lemon juice. A cool steely mineral finish on the end, which mostly imparts a clean feeling.

T: Starts off with a brown sugar sweetness. A grain flavor mostly of rye and barley fills the back of the tongue. Dry grass finishes again with a lighter version of the orange pith and some rind from the smell.

M: Light. Slightly dry finish with a semi long dried grass aftertaste. Dryness builds with each sip. Tiny bit of copper tinge at the end.

O: Pretty good IPA. Just the right amount of dry hop; it's restrained and rounds out the profile but still leaves it drinkable. I as well really enjoyed the restrained use of grain in an otherwise hop forward style. Once again it offered a depth of flavor without hijacking the IPA.

A: Small head that dissipates quickly. Beautiful light-amber color.

S: Appropriately hoppy (chocolate-pine). While the hop fragrance is definitely there, it does not give off the vibe that you are about to be hit in the face with hops. Overall, not a very strong or memorable smell.

T: Taste follows the smell, delicious blend of hops without the bitter bite of some IPAs. Alcohol does not factor into the taste. Very good balance, I definitely prefer this to NB's IIPA rampant.

M: Not heavy, medium-body. Not a very carbonated feel.

O: Would recommend to any fan of IPAs. Usually decently priced ($7.99 here). Not an amazing IPA, but with the price and availability in mind, is a frequent occupant of my fridge.
