A: A golden beer with very good clarity. A nice head stand produced when poured. A long lasting head of off-white, rocky foam.

S: Strong, fresh citrus hops with a medium piney resinous aroma. some clean malt sweetness with a light floral alcohol note. Moderate grassy aroma.

T: An assertive hops bitterness with a medium-strong citrus, pine and pineapple hops flavor. There is a low, clean malt sweetness giving a balance that is pretty bitter. There is a lingering bitter aftertaste and an off-dry finish.

M: Medium Bodied with a strong level of carbonation that gets almost into that Saison, fluffy territory.

O: A very good IPA with a straight forward balance and a nice blend of citrus, piney and tropical hops flavors.

On tap into a pint glass.

A-The brew arrived with a small head of white foam. There is good retention and the oily foam leaves a curtain of lacing on the glass. The color is copper and I can see some attractive carbonation through the clear liquid.

S-The smell is a bit of a letdown...I detect mild citrus aromas, mint, herbs, and a soapy, dry, spice. Not well-integrated.

T-The taste is also chalky, soapy, and disjointed. There are certainly some hop flavors here (and a bit of doughy malts), and the flavors are pretty strong, which is good, but they do not fit well with one-another.

M-The feel is dank and oily, but the carbonation keeps things moving around.

O-This beer has potential. It is good-looking and has a nice mouthfeel, but the flavors taste hastily put-together. It is as if somebody said, "We should do a big IPA, but not quite a IIPA!" and in their excitement, they did not really think through the construction or layering of the flavors. I may give Ranger another try if it lands in my lap, but I will not be looking out for it.

Dark gold body topped with a very thick, creamy white head; clumps of sticky foam adhering to the glass; fine carbonation. Loads of sweet melon and floral bouquet hop aroma. Light malt flavors with a strong bitterness front-to-end; subtle alcohol bite. Light bodied, crisp, clean, dry feel.

A fine IPA that brings out fairly bold hop qualities in the taste and scent. The mouthfeel was a bit watery yet the mild grain sweetness and bold hop flavors and make you quickly forget this minor fault. Excellent smell and flavor balance and should satisfy those looking for a good, hoppy beer.
