I miss the old New Belgium, 25 years ago, where it was interesting styles, not just endless IPAs, but I guess you live with the New Belgium you got. It pours a mostly light, clear but moderately hazy, with a small head. I guess they nailed the aroma, with sweet fruitiness, highly fruity, sweet orange blossom: I'll give them that. The taste is: WAY too sweet. An IPA should have some pretension of bitterness, at least at this strength alcohol it needs a lot more bittering hops. Good mouthfeel. It's an interesting mixture of hops, but I did not find it drinkable at all.

Clear pale yellow with abundant foam in the big Stout glass. Highly citrus flavored, with tangerine aroma and orange in the finish. Juicy but clean, sharp but not overly acidic. Orange peel aftertaste with increasing bitterness. Very fruity and bitter, overall. More dry than a lot of stronger IPAs.
Overall this is quite drinkable and makes for another interesting hoppy brew. I'm always looking to keep a few DIPAs in 12 oz cans around for the shorter but stronger quaff. Dated 10 April 2022.

12oz can dated 2022-01-09. Served in a footed pilsner.
Slightly hazy, pale yellow, small head. Smell is lemon and hops / old hay.
Taste is old hops. Lots of lemon rind.
Mouthfeel is very dry. Overall, it's not bad, but probably past its prime.

New Belgium Brewing Co. "Voodoo Ranger Future Hop IPA"
12 fl. oz. can coded "06 MAR 2022 0804 211007011T 28175"
Notes via stream of consciousness: It seems there's a new Voodoo Ranger IPA out every month! This one is a mostly clear golden beneath a good-sized head of bright white foam. The aroma is mild but mainly "dank" and resionous with secondary notes of passionfruit and berries. It's interesting but kind of disappointing in that it has the hop intensity of a pale ale. I'm not getting a lot of malt but it seems a little more than just basic 2-row. There might be some wheat to it, or maybe even some honey malt. The taste is fuller with more malt to it, and a twist on the hops as it's more fruity than it is dank. It's got some orange, berries, passionfruit, melon, white grape, and a "dank", herbal and resinous character. It's a little honeyish, or even vanilla-like. A median bitterness balances it and it finishes dry with some resinous and herbal character lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. All in all it's a little bit of a curious beer with an interesting "dank" and fruity character that's intriguing. How strong is this? 8%! Jeebus, I didn't expect that! I though it was around 6.5% or so. There goes my theory on it's possibly being a good summer beer right out the window. I'm going to guess that this will not garner a lot of attention because it's not as bold or bright as so many other IPAs on the market but it is somewhat unique and well worth taking a look at.

16 Jan 2022 dated 12 oz can.
Pours lighter and with better then a moderate haze level. Lasting fluffy cap and leaving pleasing levels of fine froth and lacing.
Mild sniff of tangerines
Easy drinking, fairly nondescript IPA, a bit of orange and general citric and resiny hop goodness.
Decent but not overly exciting kinda IPA.

Drank straight from the can and what more can i say but wow. Never been disappointed by VR but this one is something else i wouldn't be surprised if future hops was just as juicy if not more than juicy haze by the same company didn't give it a full 5 across the board because it could of been a bit more bitter would recommend to and juicy ipa lovers

Poured from a can. Straw in color, slightly hazy with a foamy white head and good lacing. Smells of fruit, floral and a little pine. Flavors of grape, citrus, floral and malt. Flavors work well for me. Enjoyable.

12 oz. can - Best by 06 March 2022:
Pours slightly hazy light yellow with a thin white head. A bit of lacing sticks.
'
The smell is of white grape, crackers, a subtle hint of musty pine/wood.
The taste is of white grape, some sharp perfume, hint of wood. Cracker base. Alcohol relatively well-covered.
A bit too carbonated, slightly watery in the middle for the style But, it's pretty smooth and holds together and the hops linger a bit.
A decent-to-good Imperial IPA. Drinkable, for sure. I prefer the orginal VDR Imp IPA. But, this works fine enough. Could be more bold for an Imperial version of an American IPA.

Clear light yellow color with a foamy white head. Good retention.
Pineapple, lemon, straw, a touch of green apple and white grape, and clean, crisp, white crackery malt. A touch of bitterness but it does not linger at all. Very mild bitterness. Finishes clean, crisp, and dry. No alcohol is perceptible, even at warmer temps.
Medium-light body, well carbonated, very crisp and clean.
A solid DIPA. I wish the hops popped a bit more, but drinkability is superb.

Salad yet unexciting..... Generally I love the special brews his old school Brewer pushes out.... This one falls a bit flat for me, although it is still of high quality and I would recommend to a friend
