Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.

A - pours a translucent pale amber. Two finger off white head with an aggressive pour. Appears to be fairly carbonated. Some lacing.

S - some hops, some malt. Nothing really strong coming off the aroma.

T - citrus hops and sweet malt, bitter hop finish at the end. An interesting blind of bitter and sweet, but well balanced. I like it a lot, actually.

M - medium to light bodied. Not excessively carbonated. It doesn't feel "fizzy" which I like.

O - overall, a well balanced, tasty, and even a bit unique beer. A really good outdoor summer type beer, which is exactly what they're going for here I suppose. Aroma was a little wanting.

Appearance: Pours deeply gold and hazy with an inch of light, white, frothy head.

Smell: citrus and mellow malt in the nose reminiscent of biscuits. The middle is the largest of the smell. Pine, ginger, and hops.

Taste: The combination of the multi-facted flavors is its strong point. I think perhaps that because I'm a D/IPA guy that it might have been a bit more underwhelming than what I would have liked. However, it really is an intricate taste that requires time to deconstruct. Its pretty light, crisp, sessionable, and refreshing without compromising intricacies or being 1-2 dimensional.

Mouth: Strong carbonation with a dry finish. Fruit lingers on the palate (NICE!).

Overall: A strong beer. Its probably one of my favorites from New Belgium. It amazes me how consistent this brewery is. I drank this beer whenever it was overwhelmingly hot outside. I have got to say that it filled the void well. While all of my lame friends were sitting around wasting their lives on lesser beer, this definitely gave me drinkable refreshment without compromising a complex flavor. One of the better ABA I've had. Wouldn't expect anything less from New Belgium.

Started this thing off with a semi-aggresive pour down the middle. created a 2 finger off-white head with blazing fast retention and minimul lacing. Poured a golden body and clear as daylight. Plenty of tangy, zesty fruits on the nose. Orange peel, apricot and spices mostly. Taste followed closely behind but with a lemon zest kick. Sweet throughout the whole drink and it doesn't tune it down with some bitterness that I detect. Medium-High(ish) carbonation makes it similar to drinking a wine cooler. not the best mouthfeel, but not the worse.
Overall not a bad brew. It definately fits perfectly with the seasonal category as its offered. Ill probably drink this again with some grilled chicken at the lake.

This pours dark golden and has very active bubbles and fluffy head. This beer, like some other New Belgium beers, seems pretty earthy. This one is particularly herbal and bitter, and not that amazing. This tastes like a bad salad. OK, ok, it’s decent. I don’t usually prefer summer beers for these weed-like flavors, so shoot me. This is medium bodied and drinkable, but I don’t want another.
