A clear golden beer, a bit grainy, with a fresh hop smell...the charcuterie is restrained. Simple and straightforward, this beer is mildly fruity...citrus and apricot, and has a mild peppery hop flavor as well. Light to medium in body. Average.

Served in a stange, as the Blonde Ale is supposedly similar to the Kölsch. Clear yellow in appearance, with virtually no bubbles apart from fluffy white head. Very pure. Very light nose of pale grains, with strong lemon scent. Same on the tongue, with grain weaker and lemon stronger. Maybe a little bready, and a little peppery, there are herbal or rindy hops in the linger/finish. Very comforting buttered bread aftertaste. Light- to medium-bodied with significantly higher level of carbonation than the appearance would indicate. Smooth, crisp, drinkable, and refreshing.

Glad I finally found this beer. There was no end in sight of Folly packs with Porch Swing as the Revival Beer. I started looking for this weeks ago. I was right to be worried as the same thing happened when the Folly pack had 2 Below. Saw that one twice. Snatched it up the second time. Then gone for good.

12oz bottle into a Stella chalice

A: Crystal clear, golden yellow, 1.5 fingers width of slightly off white colored head, tons of carbonation bubbles can be seen racing to the top of the class. Head has very good retention before dissipating down and leaves lots of lacing. 4.25

S: Malty sweetness, floral, subtle doughy yeast, bright citrus. 3.75

T: Similar to the nose. Sweet malts, floral, yeasty, subtle fruity characters. 3.5

M/D: Lighter side of medium body, carbonation on the heavier end which is appropriate, drinkability is average. It leaves a distracting odd film in my mouth after each sip, which I’m not a big fan of. 3.5

O: Pretty solid Blonde. Not something I’m clamoring to have again, but a worthy beverage on this warm spring evening. 3.75

Pours a lighter golden color with white head. Some bread, a little light fruit, and some grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes fairly dry.
