Poured from a 12oz bottle (best by date 27Sep15) into a Mikasa ale glass.
LOOK: Pours with a quarter of a finger's worth of white foam that shrinks down to a single line within one minute. Pale yellowish orange in color. Bubbles are very scarce as is lacing.
SMELL: Has mild aromas of pale malts, apricot, ginger, and citrusy hops that entangle with a hint of caramlized malts.
TASTE: Initial taste is of strong apricot flavors that brilliantly combine with mild citrusy hop and pale malt flavors. Mild ginger and a hint of carmalized malts enter immediately after as apricot flavors persist, but hop and pale malt flavors fade to subtle. Finally, a touch of oat enters the palate all while the citrus hop and pale malt flavors remain subtle, ginger and caramilzed malts grow a tad stronger, and of course the apricot flavors power through.
FEEL: Medium-bodied, highly carbonated yet very smooth. This beer has such a crisp finish, when you look up "crisp" in the dictionary, it shows a picture of Somersault.
NOTE: I had this beer previously in just the bottle and it was such a different taste compared to when I poured it in a glass. In the bottle, it is very hoppy and the apricot flavors are more difficult to detect.

Enjoyed out of the bottle. Personally, I can't see why it was given such a good rating from the Bros. Has the recipe changed since the Bro's 2011 rating? I'm hoping so, otherwise I can't understand his rationale. For me, this was a fine summer ale, but not complex in the slightest. Not offensive or bad, but nothing I'd normally seek out or care to drink. It's just... boring.

I had been looking to try this for a light different summer beer. The mixed Folley packs just reached my area of Florida. Nose was citrus, piney, hops, little apricot, and maybe a little doughy. Taste was good. It pretty much followed the nose except some nice spiciness came through. The spices mixed with the apricot and melded very well together. I do not think the fruitiness was overpowering. This is a nice light beer that I wish was available more often and in a 6 pack so I don't have to buy other beers that I am not excited about. I will probably try to get more of these before the end of summer.

Pours a mostly clear golden color with big fluffy white head, streaky lace down the glass. Smell: pale backing, note of sweet citrus, apricot, note of ginger. Taste: lots of apricot, a little orange citrus, spicy. Light bodied, crisp-ish finish. Nice summer beer.
