The light hop scared my bud drinking relatives. I think it is a nice lawn mower beer.

Pours out a brassy gold with a sudsy head. Excellent lacing all the way down. Sheets of white. Smells of sweet malt and a good helping of noble hops. Tastes malty and a touch grainy with some herbal hops in the finish. I'm a bit put off by the typical toastiness I get from New Belgium beers. Mouthfeel had a nice presence with an active carbonation, although it felt a bit sticky at times. Solid drinkability and easy to finish.

A 12 oz bottle from Liquid Solutions.

A: The pils has a clean goldenrod-yellow color that is completely translucent. The head weighed in around 1 finger on pour and has receded to a small white band. The clearness of the pils is complimented by the stream of bubbles from the bottom of the glass.

S: The beer has a crisp short hop aroma and grainy malt sweetness.

T: The pils has a classic taste, strong on malts with a nice hoppy add-on. The malts are grainy, having a biscuity element that provides some hints of sweetness. The hops are short-lived but intense, giving the beer a sharp earthy zatec flavor.

M: The mouthfeel showcases the hop body nicely; this is a beer that one could drink several of.

D: Enjoyable, this beer would be perfect on a warm summer night or on a snowy winter night like tonight.

Purchased on a recent holiday trip and served in a tulip. Nice clear gold straw color with a fine head and good retention and lacing. The cascading bubbles up the sides of the glass are very inviting, but I expected more carbonation. Nose is definitely a lager nose. A clean, flowery bouquet. This beer has a fair amount of flavor for this style. You expect (and get) a nice mild champagne-like dryness that is crisp, coarse, and grainy. Still, the beer maintains a nice balance. Mouthfeel is thin-to-firm and is good for this style.

This is not my favorite style, but I enjoyed this beer. It lacks the hop complexity to be truly great, but it's still tasty and refreshing.
