Bomber to becher pint glass. The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Not much lace. The aroma had some sharp bitter citrus rind quality over top of some dried sweet caramel/toffee malts. Light nuttiness and a little bit of orange marmalade. The flavor was pretty bitter and added a little bit of spicy earthiness to keep the sweetness really down. Not much of an aftertaste but really pegged down the finish with a firm bitter citrus rind. The palate was about medium bodied with not much sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt fine. Overall, decent IPA at best.

A: clear; bronze in color; 1 finger off white head that receded slowly to an uneven cap; nice lacing;
S: more sourness that anything else; a little caramel malt in the background;
T: unfortunately, it follows the nose; maybe a bad bottle?
M: a little thin; moderately carbonated;
O: no date, so no way of knowing how old this is; no hop aroma or flavor; with the sourness, I doubt I would try this again;

Bought in July 2014 at brewery, tried it today December 18, 2014, over carbonated and overwhelming Brett sourness flavor. No sign of hops detected. Very disappointing! Maybe mine was the only defective infected bottle but I doubt that.

Poured beer out of the growler into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a copper color with great clarity and bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Nice citrus hops followed by caramel and bready malts.
Taste: Grapefruit and orange flavors balanced by the caramel and bready malts. Very tasty.
Mouthfeel: Very smooth, drinkable, medium bodied, medium carbonation, and easy to drink.
Overall: A nice IPA that I look forward to drinking more of from the brewery. Such a drinkable and enjoyable IPA.
