22oz bottle served in a standard shaker pint.

pours a slightly cloudy, copper/amber tone yielding 1 to 1 and 1/2" light tan head... middling retention as it lapses with some haste into a collar around the glass; patchy lacing. nose is of so-so strength, offering notes of wheat, caramel and roasted malt, and maybe a touch of spice... also has a vague fruity element to it.

taste delivers more caramel maltiness out front, along with a touch of roastiness. that vague, sweet fruit-like character pulls through as a secondary note but i can't quite put my finger on it. finish is dry, with a perceptible presence of hops. reasonably tasty. medium-bodied mouthfeel with average carbonation.

overall it's a solid beer, tasty and enjoyable. it won't knock your socks off by any means but i'd say it's a keeper.

Malty. Brownish red. Full bodied. Still a nice crisp fizz. Finishes very smoothly and has a hint of floral-ish fruit. Maybe almost honeysuckle or watermelon like. Not a "fruit beer" or even "fruity" by any means. Nor artificial tasting. Very natural and subtle.

Time to change the yeast out as the lemony bite is too harsh

Pours cloudy brown red with off white head
Smells like a mix of cloves and dark malts, some coffee, chocolate.
Taste is dark and fruity with muted banana undertones coming through, yeast has a noticeable presence. Nothing too crazy
Mouthfeel is nice, drinkable, good level of spiciness, and solid finish. Brown and maybe slightly too bubbly
Overall solid beer, might have been better a bit earlier

Had on tap at Not Your Average Joes. I am a fan of this brewery. Haven't had the dunkel in a whole. The pour was a very deep copper color, with a great head. The lacing on this was great. Very impressive pour. A very yeasty taste with a great mix of malts. This had an even better aftertaste. I can't say I have had many beers of this type, but this may keep me coming back for more. Very good
