This was absolutely undrinkable. I have never found myself dumping a whole 22oz beer down the sink before. This was awful. I wish I could get my $7 back. I also assume everything this place makes is for the "crowd" and equally tastes like trash. What is wrong with this place? Just throw in a shandy for the "crowd" along with one more IPA...there are too many people brewing with no quality. This makes me rethink what I am buying in the store when I try someone new. Absolutely disgusting beer this was

I like the regular blue hills IPA and the Black Hops but this one is barely palatable. Tasted way overly malty and sweet for an IPA. Strong alcohol flavor, big body, nice color... barely any hops... tasted like a home-brew where maybe the fermenter wasn't sealed and the beer got spoiled.

Not really sure what makes this a 'Double IPA' I got zero hops, very caramel and malty flavors. Other folks seem to like it maybe I got an old / bad one, but compared to other 2xIPAs this was not good.

Malty side-tongue lingering. Unfiltered. Looks like a gross brownish red filthpit. Good strong double IPA hop scent.

A-Pours a copper hue with a rather large head for such a small sample size.

S-Very subdued. Malty caramel and dough. More sweetness followed by a dull candied grapefruit aroma and maybe some pine.

T-Much of the same. Lots of sweetness. Doughy, caramel dipped bread. Light, grapefruit and pine. An unattractive herbality as well.

M-Soft carbonation. Lingering bitterness. A bit boozy.

O/D-Not my type of DIPA in the least. If you're looking for a malt forward DIPA here she lies.
