There is nothing "Grapefruit" about this beer. I have given dewclaw too many chances... after this beer, I am convinced that i do not enjoy their brews. Leave this one in the case.

Bought a 6 pack, stamped as bottled on 5/9 then drank on 5/24.
Great example of a blonde ale. Fruity, hoppy and fresh, very refreshing. Easy to drink a few, perfect for the recent hot weather.
Highly recommended as a flavorful lighter summer beer. Will be seeking out more in the future.

Pours gold with minimal head and low carbonation. Taste is caramel malt, with light grapefruit middle and slightly more grapefruit juice at the end. Light lemon and a bit of nuttiness is also present. This is a well balanced beer with light bitterness that could use a bit more grapefruit. Still I could see myself drinking a bunch of this during the warmer months.

12 oz bottle poured into a Creature Comforts glass.

A: clear amber with a huge, fluffy white head that quickly went over the top of my 16 oz glass with only about 1/3 of the bottle poured. The head settled slowly and left nice lacing on the glass.

Aroma: a hoppy, earthy smell featuring hay and grapefruit. Too dank.

Flavor: More hops than malt, for sure, yet decent balance. Mildly bitter but high bitterness for style. Mildly dank and funky.

M: high carbonation; medium-light body. A bit of dryness in the finish.

Overall: Disappointing.

12oz single bottle - ah, now we're back to the DuClaw sexual innuendo that we all know and love!

This beer pours a clear, bright medium copper amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves a bit of random limestone formation lace around the glass as it slowly recedes.

It smells of red grapefruit rind, gritty and grainy pale malt, further indistinct citrus esters, and maybe a sense of earthy, weedy, and piney green hop bitterness. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, a bit of white saltine cracker, zingy grapefruit juice, a small peppery spiciness, mild lemon/lime soda essences, and more understated leafy, weedy, and wet pinecone verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is adequate in its palate-satisfying frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and mostly smooth, as the grapefruit character can't possibly affect my enjoyment at this juncture, at this point in my beer appreciation, er, 'journey'. It finishes trending dry, the varied vector citrus and bled-out malt unsteadily escorting us to the exit.

Overall, this is just a mildly disappointing version of the augmented style, as the titular portmanteau pretty much fails on both accounts. Sure, there's grapefruit aplenty goin' on here, but it seems muted and wan, instead of zesty, and um, 'gazmic'. Not worthy of the 6 bucks this one cost me, I'm afraid to say.

Morgazm Grapefruit Zested Blonde Ale brewed by DuClaw Brewing Company, with an ABV of 5.00% This American Blonde Ale pours out a nice golden amber color with a small white head. There is a decent amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is citrus, grains and malts. You also pick up on some mild hops in the smell. Now for the taste, it is crisp with flavors. You pick up on the grapefruit zest. There is also some nice grains and malts flovors in this brew. Light on the hops but they are in there. The body of Morgazm Grapefruit Zested Blonde Ale is a light to medium. This is a smooth easy drinking brew. Was kinda hoping more for this brew, not saying it bad but I was looking for something different. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a real nice balance to it. The mouth feel of Morgazm Grapefruit Zested Blonde Ale is grapefruit , Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving this brew a 4 out of 5. I would look this brew up again givin the chance to. DuClaw Brewing Company, did a nice job with this one.
