This beer poured a medium copper with a thick, off-white head.

The aroma was malty, but sweet with some yeastyness to it.

The initial taste has some slight bitterness, but it is quickly replaced with an almost sugary sweetness. There is a slight maltiness to the finish.

The mouthfeel of this beer is crisp.

Overall, this is on the sweet side for an Oktoberfest, but it still held on to the qualities that one might expect from this style. If you are looking for a true Oktoberfest, this one will not quite measure up.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass

A- pours a deep copper color with a one-finger creamy off-white head that retains long after the pour, leaving some lacing behind

S- smells of toasted bread crust, caramel, grassy/floral hops, light nuttiness

T- faint toasted bread followed by caramel sweetness, grassy/floral german hops mid-palate, crisp finish with lingers of toasted malt

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

O- nice straight-forward Oktoberfest with good drinkability

Mad Bishop brewed by DuClaw Brewing Company, with an ABV of 5.80% This brew pours out a nice light brown color with a nice off white head. I really like the copper look to this brew. The smell of Mad Bishop is rich with roasted grians and malts. You also pick up on some nice mild hops in the smell of this brew. Between the the look and the smell of this brew it is really inviting. Now for the taste , it is bold with roasted flavors. You pick up on some nice earthly notes in the taste as well. There is a nice amount of roasted grians and malts in the taste of this brew. There is a nice hoppy smoothness to the taste of this brew. Mad Bishop, has a lot going on in it. I can't get over how smooth this brew is, according to the bottle this brew has an ABV of 6.00% It is really hard to pick up on the higher ABV in this brew. The mouth feel of Mad Bishop, Bold Roasted, Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Mad Bishop has a super nice balance it it, there is nothing overpowering about this brew. If you are looking for flavor, and smoothness this is it. This is a fine drinking brew. Overall I am giving Mad Bishop a 4.5 out of 5. I would buy this brew again. DuClaw Brewing Company, did a real nice job with this brew.

12 oz bottle into a lager glass. ABV listed as 6%.
Clear deep copper-colored body with a good tan head that leaves a coat of lacing on the glass with each tip.
This is a bitter-sweet, malt dominated . Very tasty with well hidden alcohol. Enough hops to equalize the bitter/sweet balance and impact some spicy hop notes. Mildly bitter finish. A bit bock-like.
Medium body with medium carbonation.

Mad Bishop | DuClaw Brewing Company. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this brew's head is three fingers thick, with solid lacing, and a clear deep reddish amber body.

I smell toasted malts and full-bodied grains with a small bit of sweetness towards the end.

Tastes like a blend of what I mention in the smell, along with an almost tea-like characteristic that makes this almost like a red ale. Definitely different.

The mouthfeel is medium with mild carbonation.

Overall, I'll rate Mad Bishop | DuClaw Brewing Company with a 4. They went for something out of the ordinary with this one... and didn't succeed TOO well.

Pours red orange body with small white head with decent retention and lacing. Smells of sweet toffee and caramel; pretty nice smelling beer! Taste is of equal toffee notes with some earthy hops to finis. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, but not to thick. Overall, nice drinking beer! Could reel in the hops a little, but pretty good!

Undated bottle into pint glass. Hazy deep orange with a thin white head that dissipated rapidly. Initial impression is roasted malt, with medium carbonation and refreshing mouthfeel. Dry finish. Really good example of the style.

Idk why this beer doesn't have more reviews/"hype ". It's quite an amazing take on the infamous Oktoberfest style of beer. Has a fabulous nutty-like/roasted aroma that (for me at least) drew me right into the first sip. Taste follows the nose..only better, perhaps?! Long story short here ppl, try this one if u see it or if it's available at your local liquor store. Cheers my friends.
