Love this beer. Similar to sweet baby Jesus. Dark brown color with a small tan head. Beer taste medium of peanut butter and heavy tasting on coffee and and malts. Goes down smooth

Pours out a cola color and forms in the glass very dark brown to black with a thin khaki colored crown.
Smells just like the regular. Reminiscent of Reese's puffs. Chocolate and peanut butter both present. No coffee.
The taste brings the coffee! Coffee first and then turns into the peanut butter and chocolate. I like it.
The mouthfeel is thinner than I like for the style but well carbonated.
Overall, I enjoyed this one more than the regular. The espresso beans give it just a little bit more depth.

A- Pours a dark chocolate/cola color that is semi opaque in nature as it shows some clarity on the underside of the top liquid. The head starts out about a finger thick and settles into a thin patchwork over top the liquid....it is light caramel in color. Lacing is modest, with a hillside picture forming that swiftly lowers itself back into the beer, and carbonation is too hard to see. Overall this is an above average looking beer but nothing special.

S- This is very nice smelling overall, with intense, robust aromas throughout! Piles of gooey, sticky peanut butter is the first thing immediately noticed, followed by other strong, but less intense smells of vanilla, milk chocolate, coffee, both black and creamy varieties, coffee beans, wafer bar, dark chocolate malts and just hints of dry bitter finishes. What this reminds me of is a version of a Coffee Crisp chocolate bar, with more vanilla and some PB!

T- This is a tasty brew, that somewhat follows suit to the aromas, however, the finish is what really gets me.....there is a huge aftertaste of black coffee and high cocoa content dark chocolate blended....Cafe au Lait to be more precise! There is underlying flavors of vanilla, peanut butter (more nutty than sweet PB), and the malts are much more pronounced, and become much more toasty overall.....black malt must have been used.....as it warms too, the espresso character becomes stronger and richer. I quite like this!

M/O- Ok, the biggest disappointment is the level of carbonation....I don't like or think that this much is necessary but to each brewery their own. The body is medium and the alcohol is well hidden....I would think this pairs well with a square of chocolate or perhaps with a strong cheddar cheese! Definitely give this one a try and I would/will buy again!

Poured from bottle into pint glass. Clear dark coffee brown with thin caramel head. Smelled of sweet malts, dark chocolate, and peanut butter. Taste followed nose with a hint of coffee. Medium bodied. I really enjoyed the Sweet Baby Jesus (their chocolate peanut butter porter) and this was a take on that original. A very enjoyable brew

Not quite what I was expecting. It did get better as it warmed, though...

It was funny to me that I couldn't smell any of the coffee or malts in this brew - but it was deliciously strong to the nose on chocolate and peanut butter. The beer pours a muted, dark-brown color with nice foam and a good amount of lacing, but the foam does dissipate quite quickly. Then we get to the mouthfeel - light, almost watery but still with a creamy texture as it warmed. The taste was more roasted coffee, kinda burnt with just a touch of chocolate and not much peanut butter to taste. Then again, the malt was distinctive to go along with the strong coffee taste. It certainly was a tasty beer, not the dessert beer I was expecting, but definitely solid. Even though I felt this beer was all over the place, I would probably reach for it again.

12oz bottle from ABC Fine Wine & Spirits (Naples, FL). Bottled 11/10/17. Served in a Barrel and Barley teku. Enjoyed 1/4/18.

Pours deep brown with two and a quarter fingers of pale tan head. The bubbles fade, leaving a couple small islands, a fluffy crown and a few broad webs of lace.

Smells of peanut butter, cocoa, caramel and a hint of coffee. Quite nice.

Espresso leaps to the forefront of flavor immediately but shares its starring role with desweetened peanut butter. Caramel, some mild chocolate character and a little bit of roast. More dark chocolate presence creeps in as the refrigeration chill subsides.

Velvety smooth medium feel with rather subdued carbonation. The finish is like peanut butter coffee with a burnt caramel cream.

Sweet Baby Java has all the peanut butter and chocolate that I've enjoyed in the base with a pleasant kick of coffee. Glad I grabbed a random bottle to give it a try.

Very good head production and excellent retention. Brew is a dark nutty brown, nearly black, and appears to be clear. Head is a dark, creamy tan, and leaves behind fantastic lacing.

Banana and peanut notes waft from the pour. Up close, the peanut butter really dominates, but there are hints of coffee and chocolate as well. This aroma boils down to: if you love peanut butter, you'll love the nose - and if not, you'll hate it.

Flavor is also dominated by peanut butter, which unkindly refuses to make room for much else. Some chocolate sneaks through, as well as some roasted malt, but the coffee is simply overwhelmed, manifesting as a bitter edge here and there.

Nice thick feel for a relatively low ABV brew.

The height of brewing gimmickry, this is nonetheless a tasty brew. The peanut butter adjunct is ultimately too much, however; this is not a coffee brew with peanut butter flavoring, but a peanut butter brew with little else.
