Pours out a cola color and forms in the glass very dark brown to black with a thin khaki colored crown.
Smells just like the regular. Reminiscent of Reese's puffs. Chocolate and peanut butter both present. No coffee.
The taste brings the coffee! Coffee first and then turns into the peanut butter and chocolate. I like it.
The mouthfeel is thinner than I like for the style but well carbonated.
Overall, I enjoyed this one more than the regular. The espresso beans give it just a little bit more depth.

L - poured near total black with a one-finger mocha head. Decent lacing.
S - chocolate and peanut butter mix right from the pour. Cocoa/espresso, too.
T - followed the nose pretty well, with some roasted malt undertones. Really good.
F - pretty smooth. Medium to full mouthful. Creamy. Semi/fairly dry finish. Nice!
O - seems like a “deep” Porter to me. Had to resist drinking it faster than I wanted. It’s good!

From the older 22 oz bottle, it pours a very dark brown with a light brown head that slowly reduces. The nose gets coffee and chocolate. The mouth gets the same, with the chocolate and roasted malts.

Sampled October 2023 from 12oz can into a pint glass. Canned date of 05/30/23 on the bottom of the can. I drank this less than 1 day after purchase.
Appearance: Pitch black, dark color, with a thin dark tan head (less than 1 finger). The head lasted a long time. Slight lacing.
Smell: There are roasted malt aromas, along with some chocolate and coffee aromas. Some hops in the aroma, but it is very slight. Nice combination and balance between the chocolate, malts, and other aromas.
Taste: Full-bodied with great balance of malt, sweetness of chocolate, coffee, and some peanuts. There is also a very slight vanilla flavor with this, along with roasted malts and coffee flavors. This vanilla flavor is very slight and does not detract from the other flavors, nor does it make the overall taste too sweet. The alcohol flavor is mild and not overwhelming.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied, but very smooth. Very creamy. Mild alcohol which matches with the 6.2% o the label.
Overall: This was the first time I tried this beer. It is a nice beer to drink with desserts. Although it has sweet flavors, they are not overwhelming and balance well with the coffee and roasted malts. I like this better than their Sweet Baby Jesus, which is also good I will definitely look for any of these and buy them again.

12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a large, light brown head of fluffy foam. It left sticky lacing on the glass. It smelled of coffee, sweet milk chocolate and toffee. This started out really sweet until it warmed up and mellowed. Good coffee taste with lots of chocolate.

Poured from a 12oz can. Deep dark rich like a stout liquid.
Mostly espresso on the nose and taste buds. Good thing the peanut butter is almost nonexistent. I don't care for peanut butter brews. If I had read the label a little closer I would not have put this one in my shopping cart. That being said, I am surprised. Could have a little more kick in the a$$.
Overall a good brew.

Sweet Baby Java pours black with a small, tan head. The aroma is a sweet, creamy coffee house. The flavor has a strong coffee bean flavor with a mellow mix of chocolate. Good body and feel. Overall, a very nice, creamy coffee porter.

Look - black with a tan head
Smell - chocolate, peanut butter, coffee
Taste - sweet chocolate, espresso, a little peanut butter but not much, roasted malt
Feel - thin mouthfeel, light carbonation, sweet chocolate espresso & slight bitter notes linger, dry finish
Overall - Good brew to start the night off with. Description on front of the can is spot on. Felt a bit thin to me but was still pretty good. Pairs well with Fox on the Run by The Sweet.

Pours a deep dark burnt umber with a tan head.
Peanut butter, chocolate, coffee. And sticky malt in the nose.
Dark chocolate with peanut butter malt and bitter dark coffee with sticky bun malt. A delicious beer with good balance, not too sweet.

Excellent taste and well balanced Porter. I like all Porters, being a lifetime coffee drinker, it is only natural. I like the smell, look , and especially taste of a Porter. This is highly recommended, I rate as second best I have consumed. The IBU is high for a Porter @ 53 which makes it so excellent. The hoppier the beer, the happier I am! Great choice for any occasion!
