A- Pours a dark chocolate/cola color that is semi opaque in nature as it shows some clarity on the underside of the top liquid. The head starts out about a finger thick and settles into a thin patchwork over top the liquid....it is light caramel in color. Lacing is modest, with a hillside picture forming that swiftly lowers itself back into the beer, and carbonation is too hard to see. Overall this is an above average looking beer but nothing special.

S- This is very nice smelling overall, with intense, robust aromas throughout! Piles of gooey, sticky peanut butter is the first thing immediately noticed, followed by other strong, but less intense smells of vanilla, milk chocolate, coffee, both black and creamy varieties, coffee beans, wafer bar, dark chocolate malts and just hints of dry bitter finishes. What this reminds me of is a version of a Coffee Crisp chocolate bar, with more vanilla and some PB!

T- This is a tasty brew, that somewhat follows suit to the aromas, however, the finish is what really gets me.....there is a huge aftertaste of black coffee and high cocoa content dark chocolate blended....Cafe au Lait to be more precise! There is underlying flavors of vanilla, peanut butter (more nutty than sweet PB), and the malts are much more pronounced, and become much more toasty overall.....black malt must have been used.....as it warms too, the espresso character becomes stronger and richer. I quite like this!

M/O- Ok, the biggest disappointment is the level of carbonation....I don't like or think that this much is necessary but to each brewery their own. The body is medium and the alcohol is well hidden....I would think this pairs well with a square of chocolate or perhaps with a strong cheddar cheese! Definitely give this one a try and I would/will buy again!

Pours a deep dark color, basically black with minimal head and very minor spotty lacing. Aromas abound with chocolate and peanut butter and the taste is very much like the aroma, with the coffee coming out at the end. Mouthfeel is smooth and finish is relatively clean. Alcohol is not a player. Would have liked a little more espresso, IMHO

I was told by Wally at Saveon that this was brewed specifically to compete with Willoughby Brewing's (2 miles from here) similar brew. Well, they are similar. This one is roastier but not as smooth. I doubted that they would have even heard of Willoughby Brewing, but I was told they competed somewhere and Willoughby won. I only have the Declaw on hand so I can't compare.

It pours a beautiful black with nice lacing. The aroma is an awesome roasty coffee, peanut smell with some ale. I wish it were much bigger in the malts and alcohol.

The taste is a clean roasty taste with very little booze present. I with it had more malts.

Recommended as a moderate taste without tons of alcohol.

Pours opaque, jet black in color, with 1/2 inch head. Taste is big peanut butter and dry roast coffee with brown sugar. Medium bodied and carbonation sweet and roasty. Not much of a coffee drinker but wow is this a good beer. Could convince me to be a coffee drinker. A wow coffee beer that perfectly blends the peanut butter.

12 oz bottle.
Pours with an opaque dark brown body tipped with an exceptional tan head.
A well selected amount and variety of coffee adds some complexity ands bitterness to Sweet Baby Jesus.
Excellent full and smooth mouthfeel.

12oz bottle, day 23 of the 2017 Craft BeerAdvent Calendar. Man, this one's name just keeps getting longer and longer, doesn't it?

This beer pours a clear, dark brown cola colour, with four fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat bubbly beige head, which leaves some spooky tree branch lace around the glass as it very slowly seeps away.

It smells of dry peanut butter, bittersweet cocoa powder, faint cafe-au-lait, lightly roasted caramel malt, and some very tame earthy, leafy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is chunky peanut butter, dollar store chocolate, weak artisanal coffee, gritty and grainy caramel malt, a touch of free-range ashiness, ethereal anise spice, and more well understated earthy, musty, and floral noble hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly low-key in its innocuous frothiness, the body a solid medium weight, and generally smooth, with a thin airy creaminess evolving as things warm up a tad around here. It finishes off-dry, the cocoa, caramel, and peanut essences holding all the lingering cards.

Overall - while this is still a well-flavoured porter, the supposed delta (espresso) doesn't really stand up to be counted. I'm not complaining, per se, as I like everything going on, but be warned if it's the java part of this Sweet Baby that you're looking for.

Appearance - Pours black with cola brown edging. Tan, half finger width that doesn't hang long, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. A handful of lines and small spots make up the minimal lacing.

Smell - The aroma hits on prominent notes of peanut butter, chocolate and coffee roast.

Taste - Chocolate and peanut butter upfront before a blast of coffee roast and earthen bitterness. Finish lingers with a blend of all three main flavor aspects.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.

Overall - Pretty good brew. While the coffee roast interrupts that nice marriage of peanut butter and chocolate, it also serves to cut the sweetness.

Appearance: Nearly black with a tan head and no lace.

Aroma: Nice, with plenty of chocolate and peanut butter but little coffee.

Taste: Rich and smooth cocoa and peanut butter again, with little espresso. Finishes with a definite bitterness. Not bad.

Very good head production and excellent retention. Brew is a dark nutty brown, nearly black, and appears to be clear. Head is a dark, creamy tan, and leaves behind fantastic lacing.

Banana and peanut notes waft from the pour. Up close, the peanut butter really dominates, but there are hints of coffee and chocolate as well. This aroma boils down to: if you love peanut butter, you'll love the nose - and if not, you'll hate it.

Flavor is also dominated by peanut butter, which unkindly refuses to make room for much else. Some chocolate sneaks through, as well as some roasted malt, but the coffee is simply overwhelmed, manifesting as a bitter edge here and there.

Nice thick feel for a relatively low ABV brew.

The height of brewing gimmickry, this is nonetheless a tasty brew. The peanut butter adjunct is ultimately too much, however; this is not a coffee brew with peanut butter flavoring, but a peanut butter brew with little else.

L: Black with highlights of dark brown. A small tan head, though with good retention. Little to no lacing.

S: Peanut dust, peanut cookie, honey, cracked grains, caramel, cocoa powder.

T: Peanut butter powder, milk chocolate, cereal grains, honey, caramel, cocoa powder, burnt toast. Very grainy, lightly sweet, and slightly smoky.

F: Pretty thin and watery. Moderately carbonated. Finishes really thin.

O: A decent peanut butter porter.

Sweet Baby Java Espresso Bean Infused Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter brewed by DuClaw Brewing Company. This American Porter has an ABV of 6.20%. The Porter pours out a nice deep brown color with a nice light brown head. Nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. This brew has the look of coffee, not saying that is a bad thing. The smell of Sweet Baby Java Espresso Bean Infused Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is rich Roasted grains, malts, sweetness, and peanut butter. You also pick up a nice mild amount of hops in the smell of this brew. So far this is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with Flavors. You do pick up on the chocolate and peanut butter flavors, mixed with the roasted gains and malts. There is alot going on in Sweet Baby Java Espresso Bean Infused Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter. The body of this brew is a a medium to heavy, but not to heavy. I can't get over how smooth this brew goes down, it is really hard to pick up on the 6.20% ABV in this brew. The mouth feel is Bold Rich Clean Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving this brew a 4.50 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the chance to. DuClaw Brewing Company, did a super nice job with this brew. If you like chocolate, coffee, and peanut butter look this brew up.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter

A- pours a deep brown color with a one-finger foamy off-white head that reduces to a ring around the glass

S- smells of nutty roasted peanuts infused with dark chocolate fudge, with a side of earthy coffee

T- nutty roasted peanuts up front, followed by some notes of chocolate and mocha espresso. The finish gives more nutty flavors and a dry roasted linger

M- medium-light body with medium carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and a dry finish

O- one of the better peanut porters out there, the coffee addition makes it even better
