I am CANstantly being enCANouraged to get The CANQuest (tm) back on track & I am doing my best, but the pesky bottles keep popping up like toadstools. C'est la guerre!

From the CAN: "Precisely balanced"; "Cold Gold Crafted in Maryland"; "Craft be cherished. Rules be damned."; "So fun it should be illegal! A throwback to a simpler time, this traditional light golden, German-style Pilsner is medium-bodied and crisp with a precise balance of malt and hop flavors that is always on target. Toss it back and you'll agree, when it comes to refreshment, Lawn Dart is a BULLSEYE!"

I live for the Crack! of a CAN and following that, I went with a gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. Color was a surprisingly light Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with NE-quality clarity. I then gave it a vigorous in-glass swirl to raise a finger of dense, foamy, bone-white head with decent retention. Nose was quite biscuity & malty & my mouth began to water. I have really come to enjoy Pilsners and while the Czech-style is my favorite, I have no bones with a German-style Pils. Mouthfeel was medium, but full for the style. The taste had a pronounced biscuity breadiness along with a soft Saaz hops grassiness. Mmm. Finish was semi-dry to dry and quite refreshing. Their putting it in CANs was a masterstroke since it would be perfect on a hot, humid summer's day during a spirited game of lawn darts. I CAN totally see filling a cooler with these CANs!

How high can one rate a local pilsener when they are so light? Compares well w. Prima, Pivo, Nooner, Carton ThisTown and the Crisp. Pleased to be 7th review of Lawn Dart.
a) Totally Euro in look, aroma and taste. Straw gold with steep head that slacks to a ring of suds and dotty lace.
s) Lots of grain, biscuit malt and continental hops. Smells like Luxembourg.
t) Follows smell, more white crackers, with good lemony crisp astringency and euro style bitter hops.
f) Thin, cleansing, bright, and crisp. Good first beer, aperitif.
o) All Pilsners are too similar to tease a part. This one falls a bit for being a bit too yeasty, crackery, grainy, but otherwise refreshing.

Pours clear, gold in color with 3/4 inch head. taste is cereal, grass, and grain. Light bodied, slightly sweet, with moderate carbonation. Holy domestic pils. Makes for an excellent domestic version of the style. Would gladly drink a six of this.

Lawn Dart brewed by DuClaw Brewing Company, with an ABV of 5.40% This German Pilsner pours out a nice golden amber color with a nice white head. There is a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell of this German Pilsner is rich with grains and malts. You also pick up on some nice hoo bitterness in the smell of this brew. This is a real nice inviting German Pilsner. Now for the taste, it is Bold but mild with flavors. You pick up a good amount grains and malts in the taste. There is also a nice mild hop bitterness in the taste this brew has the look and taste if most German Pilsners on the market, not saying that is a bad . The body of Lawn Dart, is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it goes down nice and smooth. This is one fine drinking brew it would go. Ice with almost anything. The mouth feel of Lawn Dart is Bold, Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving Lawn Dart a 4.50 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again. DuClaw Brewing Company, did a real nice job with this brew.

Pours a clear light yellow. Persistent lacing.
Smell is pretty minimal. Faint sweet malt and grain.
Taste is a quick flash of sweet malt followed by a fair amount of hop bitterness.

A thanks ton the prince of pilsners, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a clear yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, a bit sweet. Taste is mild, malts, hints of grass and lemon. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a mediocre beer.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a two finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of grassy hops and a moderate amount of associated bitterness along with underlying hints of bready and grainy malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied, crisp and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This pilsener is more hoppier than it is malty. The hops provide a nice amount of "bite".

Lawn Dart | DuClaw Brewing Company. Poured from the can into a pint glass, the head here is two fingers thick, with lateral lacing, and a light gold body.

Smells like hearty grains and full-bodied malts.

I taste slightly toasty malts with a light hop zing. Clear and bright in all.

Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

Lawn Dart | DuClaw Brewing Company gets a 4.25 rating.

Aroma is biscuit malt and continental hops.

Taste is lighter than aroma, little astringency and some bitter hops.
