Notes: Intense notes of dark chocolate blends with cherry puree for dark fruit flavors, elevated in complexity by the addition of roasty, salty pistachios. The result is an indulgent, well-rounded and satisfying stout.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color with minimal head. Taste is char, roasted malt, and dark cherry. Heavy bodied, roasty, with moderate carbonation. Makes for a solid imperial stout where there cherry does not knock you over the head. Would pick this up again.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is just bursting with black cherries, a touch of pistachio. Taste is black cherries, light chocolate, a touch of alcohol is present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a very good beer worth seeking out.

A - Pitch black pour with creamy thick red/toffee colored lacing. with lots of viscosity on the sides of the glass.

S - Strong chocolate and chocolate cherry aroma with a slight hit of char.

T - Cherry, chocolate, chocolate char, some maraschino cherry, and ends with a lingering chocolate cherry roast bitterness.

M - Thick and silky body that's slightly thin around the edges.

O - Solid and a recommended try.

Canned on 12/4/18. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours black with a fluffy khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and decent lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of black cherry leading the way. Hints of vanilla and cocoa are there. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. More black cherry leading the way. The pistachios are noticeable. Some chocolate and vanilla in the mix. Solid bitterness. It's not really sweet at all. Malts do their thing. Mild warmth in the finish, but the alcohol is ultimately well hidden. Mouthfeel is on the thinner side of full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, smooth and dangerously drinkable.

This is a pretty solid stout. The black cherries shine and the pistachios come through. This makes for a nice dessert beer, but it's really not sweet. They deliver on what you would expect. It's enjoyable stuff. I like it.

Nice black pour is opaque black under a coupla fingers of tan foam... Head persists as a filmy receding collar around the edges... didn't do much lacing of the glass... Chocolate and cherry aromas at the fore on the nose, followed by a rich but not too sweet roasted malt flavor on the sip... Cherry is, for my taste, handled impeccably on this stout - neither tart nor too sweet, but as a rounding flavor element, binding nicely with bittersweet chocolate syrup, some roasty, bittering char, and the mild hint of chewy pistachio nut... Full-bodied, smooth, mildly carbonated, mildly sweet, with a nice drying finish that asserts the pistachio flavor more than at any other time... I'm not usually a fan of cherry - as a fruit or in a beer, but this was just fantastic... 12/4/18 canning...

Just found this beer in the seasonal section of a local craft beer store and was definitely intrigued by the flavor profile. It was canned on 12/4/18 and poured into a pint glass.

Look: It has interesting color, as it's mostly a dark black color, but has a very slight tinge of red from the cherry puree. Caramel colored foam head of about an inch that dissipated pretty quickly.

Smell: It has a fairly strong cherry smell that dominates the aroma, but it's followed up with the scents of dark chocolate and roasted coffee.

Taste: It truly tastes just like a dark chocolate covered cherry. It's based as a Russian imperial, but is hit heavy with chocolate and cherry. There is also a slight roasted/salty nut taste, but it's not very prominent, as the flavor is dominated by cherry and chocolate.

Feel: This Stout is fairly smooth and not very bitter.

Overall, I really liked this Stout! It was a little on the sweet side, but if you like chocolate covered cherries and smooth imperial stouts, you'll probably like this.
