Notes / Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.5% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

Its really not my thing, but the beer was put together well. The initial peanut butter smack in the face subsided after the first sip. A good beer, just not one of my fav styles.

Just a decent beer for my tastes. A friend brought some to the house yesterday for a fun tasting, of which this was one of a couple of other beers. . We both agreed that it was just OK. Likely would not buy it again was our duel agreement. Dark pour was nice with a nice head and lacing. Nothing overwhelmed my nose. Again, a decent beer.

Pours a black brown coffee look with a half finger head. Aroma-chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, coffee hint. Taste-same, but with a little more coffee. Mouthfeel is smooth. Overall- quality porter.

Bought this for my wife, who loves dark beers, chocolate, and peanut butter; this is a very enjoyable beer, relatively light bodied for the flavor load. It does come across as a Porter; relatively light-bodied and dry. Pours deep, dark brown with a finger to two of fine, creamy head, though it doesn't stick around for too long. Peanut butter is pretty upfront in the nose along with bitter chocolate and dark coffee notes. Peanut butter is definitely there in the taste, but it is surprisingly not overwhelming, and the chocolate notes are also kept in check. I thought it was going to be more cloying but it finishes surprisingly cleanly, with just a bit of a lingering peanut note.

Nice dark look with enviting head. Scent of bitter dark chocolate and peanut all over this beer, actually smells great. Interesting flavor where you get the chocolate and peanut butter but with no sweetness and a bitter edge. Creamy and on the lively side of carbonation for the style round out this brew.

Tried this beer at the Roadhouse in Worthington across from the Ice Works. It poured an opaque dark with thick tan head that left some lace. The scent had hints of chocolate and peanut butter. The taste carried chocolate and peanut butter but was a touch acidic. The mouthfeel was medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's it's decent.
