The traditional American Wheat Ale serves as a solid baseline, but we couldn’t be content until we tore the roof off this sucker! Funk, our Blueberry Citrus Wheat Ale, sets the rhythm with a soulful fusion of American wheat and hops, before unleashing a stunning encore with big notes of blueberry and Meyer lemon. It’s no jive, you’ll just dig it!

12 oz can poured into a tulip glass. Pours a cloudy gold, light white head, active carbonation. Smell reminds me of blueberry pie. Taste is sweet at first and then turns tart. The blueberry is present throughout the sip. Finishes with a blueberry aftertaste. A bit of wheat malt becomes evident as it warms up. Feel is light bodied, plenty of carbonation. Overall it's a good summer beer when sitting around outside. It's easy to drink, flavorful, and refreshing.

The blueberry taste is not overwhelming just a light hint. The blueberry smell is a lot stronger than the taste. Great beer overall

L: Pours golden yellow, smooth lacing, bubbles constantly rising
S: Smells like blueberries alright. A bit of a tang too, like German hefe.
T: Mild blueberry opener on the front palate. Bitter/sour hit on the side palate. Finishes as Ale. Delicious ale.
F: Excellent. Smooth and almost buttery.
O: A completely acceptable beer. Light and crisp on the tongue. The best blueberry brew I've had a go at, even. From a sales perspective, blueberry is kind of a disadvantage. Fruity in general is hit and miss. That said, the malt combonation that forms the base ale is of excellent quality. They could do away with the fruity and make a badass German Hefeweizen with it, or switch it to Raspberry and blow at least two established breweries right out of the vat.

Poured from a can....endless stream of bubbles, almost as if I dropped an Alka Seltzer into the glass. With all the bubbles, surprisingly little head. Color is an off-putting opaque orange.
Smells fruity and yeasty.
Tastes like a watered down Blue Moon. Not getting any blueberry aroma or taste at all. Not necessarily unpleasant, but not great either.
Mouth feel is almost non-existent.
A beer named "Funk" should be in your face---good or bad. This is too mild. The best thing about this beer is the interesting can design.
Probably the best thng

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is very strong of blueberries. Taste is also blueberry forward, some light lemons, a touch on the sweet side. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a highly refreshing beer.
