12oz bottle. Poured out a dark brown color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of winter spices - like nutmeg and cinnamon. Malty with those traditional spices. Mild bitterness.

Reviewed from notes. Thanks Vanessa. Wasn’t sure what to pour this into, opted for a tulip thinking this was some sort of Belgian styled ale. The appearance was a murky semi-dark red color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that subsided at a good pace. Some messy lace. The aroma had some cinnamon, cardamom, light orange peel, grassy to woody hops, some nuts, toast, raisin, butterscotch, caramel/toffee malts, and white bread. The flavor was a nice blend between the malts and the spices gathering in the orange peel and earthiness to meld fairly nice. Not much of an aftertaste but finished with the spices and malts. The feel was just a tad under medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and so was the ABV. Spicy harshness was tame enough not to distract. Overall, not a Belgian ale, and glad to see it correctly entered on ratebeer. Not exactly sure what Lucky Bucket was going for. I haven’t had much of their beers, however, this was good for what it was.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/light copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger, clove, peppercorn, orange, apple, cherry, plum, light banana, honey, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger, clove, peppercorn, orange, apple, cherry, plum, light banana, honey, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger, clove, peppercorn, orange, apple, cherry, plum, light banana, honey, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. A bit thin, but not watery; nicely flavorful. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a very nice spiced Belgian Abbey singel style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink. Intensely fragrant on spices in the aromas, but not overwhelming; more balanced in the flavors. Hits the base style very well. A very enjoyable offering.

Enjoyed from the 12 oz bottle in a snifter from a from at work. Thanks Randy!
This warmer pours a ruby amber with a subtle head of white foam that dissipates to a thin ring....period. Nose of cinnamon, nutmeg, moderately strong grain notes, and subtle breaded notes. Flavors exceed the nose with Christmas spiced raisin bread, a touch of honey, and subtle orange and cherry notes that are more evident on the back with a touch of cola. Medium mouth feel, lightly carbonated, solid for the style without being overbearing with the spices. A touch watery on the finish with a light dry note. Decent.
Cheers

LOOKS: Dark amber poured into a snifter. Very small tan head, gone after a minute. Beautiful carbonation as I rock the glass back and forth, tight small bubbles. Definitely a filtered beer. Not really much for lacing.
AROMA: A little floral. It's a spiced ale, and I really get the nutmeg, cinnamon, has that holiday thing going on. Smells of big bready fruitcake. Dried, candied fruits. No alcohol present.
TASTE: Not as sweet as you would think from the aroma. Pretty balanced there. Almost has a ginger ale taste. Well that's (ginger) the spice I couldn't put my finger on from the aroma. Bready spiced fruitcake.
MOUTHFEEL: Very well carbonated but not obnoxiously so. A very dry beer from start to finish. Medium thin body.
OVERALL:.Lower abv, but pretty nice flavors. Maybe just a little one note as far as not a lot of 'Belgian' qualities....yeast, DARK dried fruit. But it would be a nice addition around the holidays.
