Notes / Commercial Description:
Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot climax with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass.
Pours with a copper color with rather large head.
Odor has some hints of nuttiness, fruity, and hops.
Taste is typical IPA at first, but then becomes more interesting as it moves on. Some malty sweetness in the middle and a really good hop finish.
Mouth feel is pretty smooth.
Overall, a very good IPA that is pretty diverse. Well worth getting and trying.

A: Copper color, with a full off white head of foam.

S: Moderate smell of hops, fruit, and floral.

T: Smooth malty flavor with a bit of citris, floral, and pine. Strong hops finish.

M: Smooth on the mouth. Fairly strong carbonation goes well with the strong hops flavor.

O: This is a solid American IPA and is well worth trying. It's got a strong hops finish which I personally love, and the other aspects of the beer are well balanced.

A 355ml bottle with an illegible BB date. Purchased just the other day from Trembling Madness in York. What's up with a antler-wearing bear?

Poured into a Duvel tulip. A clear coppery-amber hue with medium carbonation. Produces a huge head of creamy off-white foam with decent retention; this slowly reduces to a thick surface layer. Nice lacing. Aroma of intensely resinous hops and caramel malt, with hints of pine, weed, woodiness, caramel, biscuity grain and earthy yeast. Slightly sweet.

Tastes of intensely aromatic hops with a powerful bitter finish. Notes of pine resin, dank weed, wood, caramel/toffee, biscuits, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Faintly sweet, with a strident bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly - hop oils stimulate the tastebuds. Pleasant carbonation and good body. Highly astringent; dries the palate thoroughly. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, pine and caramel.

A classic American IPA - pine resin and caramel malt. Looks good, with dank, bitter hops dominating the aroma and flavour. Smooth body. Solidly crafted and nicely balanced; a hop-head's delight. Well worth sampling if you have the chance.
