Had on tap at Lures Bar & Grille in Crownsville, MD. I agree with a previous reviewer that there is a lot going on here, but for me it really works - maybe this vintage came out differently. Nice tartness to the Oude Bruin base beer with complexity from the barrel aging(s). I'm getting fruit, vanilla, and oak from the barrels. Really nice beer!

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY for $6 a 12oz.

A- Pours a murky reddish brown with a thin off white head that fades quickly to a ring around the glass leaving spotty lacing.

S- Mildly buttery and very tart, kind of like buttered popcorn mixed with lemon juice. A little red and white wine and maybe a little brandy, hard to decipher through the butter.

T- metallic, buttery, zesty, lemon juice, green apple, honey, mushrooms. A lot going on here. Not picking up much barrel.

M- Bubbly, sharp and a lingering wine like finish

O- I will try to revisit this one if it remains on tap long enough. Really wanted to pick up the barrel notes but just couldn't.
