On tap at the brewpub

A - bright orange with a soft lacing of white head that has decent retention

S - huge citrus nose; grapefruit and pineapple

T - grapefruit, pineapple, juicy, faint malt, mild piny bitter finish

M - medium bodied, crisp, well carbonated

This was a decent IPA. It had a citrus forward hop character and a subtle bitter finish. I wish that there was just a tad more malt backbone on this one, but nonetheless it was a decent IPA that I recommend to anyone in the Raleigh area.

a: a darker ipa - nearly brown in color, capped with a khaki head that shows nice retention and light lace

s: caramel and dry biscuit with a light roasted malt aroma, hop character of dried citrus rind, on the earthy and woody side with a low level of sweetness

m: medium in body with a lively moderate carbonation

t: lightly sweet caramel malts with a nice dose of biscuit and toast, hop flavors of dried grapefruit impart a moderate-high bitterness

d: just fine, a nicely structured, solid ipa that rides the English-American line in regards to hop character

On-tap at the brewpub served in a standard pint glass a crisp bubbly orange with a very nice frothy head that lasts as a thin layer and leaves great lacing on the glass. Aroma is a decent amount of citrus hops up front and sweet pale malts. The taste is a nice amount of crisp citrus hops just ahead of sweet malts with a nice lingering bitter finish. The beer is on the light side of medium with a nice dry finish that leaves you craving the next sip. This one is very enjoyable, the best beer they've brewed yet!
