Poured from the can into a Hoegaarden tumbler.
Dark gold body, quite clear as well, with a little bit of cola carbonation coming from the bottom. Head is only about one foamy white finger, and dissolves to a thin puck and simple collar.
Chewy sensing grains, some light phenols, but a nice amount of spice character. Slightly gets into honey but stays a more simple sucrose character on the wit angle.
Straight forward brew on the palate. Good chewy malt and wheaty sweetness that gives a good backbone for the flavors. Mild honey, but with some real nice dark brown spices, almost into sweet nutmeg slightly as well. A bit of coriander warmth in the mid palate as well, with a very nice bready finish and aftertaste that lingers.
Pretty easy going witbier.

The CANQuest (tm) is back in motion & I am CANcentrating on ShawneeCraft BC CANs in advance of sending some to a fellow in MaryCANd. I just want to ensure that what I am sending is of the highest quality!
From the CAN: "Wheat Beer Brewed with Spices"; "This Belgian-style wheat beer is refreshing, tart, and spicy, with a brightly citric nose and because it is fresh and unfiltered, a cloudy, flaxen aspect. It is fermented with an old-style Belgian farmhouse ale culture. Hopping is minimal and the bouquet comes from just a touch of Mediterranean coriander and sweet Curcao [sic] orange peel."
The Crack! unleashed a squirt across my fingertips due to it being a brimful craft CAN. Given its cloudy nature, I CANducted an inverted Glug in the hopes of getting any lees back into suspension. My efforts netted two fingers of fizzy, bone-white head that pretty quickly dissipated into wisps. Boo hoo. Cloudy?!? This was as clear as yesterday's Heineken! F**ksake! Color was Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with button brightness. Sheesh. Nose had a slight funk to go with a black pepper spiciness and a slight orange-y citrusiness. Mouthfeel was on the thin side, not watery, but not much beyond it. The taste was like Wit-light. It lacked the Ooomph! that it might have had if the yeast had been left in it. This tasted like it had been filtered & stripped of its flavor. It had a light funk along with a light peppery spiciness & almost imperceptible citrusiness. Finish was semi-dry & on a hot day, it would probably be quite refreshing, but on this cool, rainy Sunday in Mai, I was left cold.

Overall a spice with a light look and feel. It has a good sipper to a summer special. A flower or fruit hint to some, but definite must try!!

On tap in a pint glass.
Golden copper color, rather non-witbier looking, with a thin white head that fades quickly to nothing and leaves minimal lacing. Lots of active small-bubble carbonation.
It smells of funky yeast, lemon and pear. Fruity and floral.
Lots of yeast and wheat flavor with dry light fruits and some floral hops.
A very light and tingly feel. Some zest.
Not bad but nothing that I'd seek out.
