A-
Brownish amber but almost a gray brown. Not overly attractive for a beer. Had a nice white head tho.
S-
Sweet, malty.
T-
Caught me a bit off guard. Usually associate Italy with blonde lagers, but this one was maltier and even sweet. A comfortable pleasant beer.
M-
Nothing special but not bad.
O-
Easy to drink, enjoyable. In a blind taaste test I would have guessed an Austrian Märzen.

I wasn't expecting to find an Italian Beer in Sydney (at least outside of Norton St, Leichhardt - Sydney's 'Little Italy') that wasn't Peroni. That's what I get I suppose for being ignorant. The joys of this little bottle shop in Glenfield, Sydney stocking beers that aren't mainstream.
Vessel: 330ml glass brown bottle. Label is attractive and stylish. Best before is sadly September 2023, but it should be OK. .
Appearance: Clear, completely filtered and Golden. Soapy white head. Standard lager appearance. Nothing too fancy.
Aroma: Grassy hop crispness with a coating or grainy muskiness. Pale malt, smells typically Euro Lagery, relatively innofensive.
Taste: Grassy hops without that crisp punch you get normally. Quite a sweet and smooth maltiness that coats the palate. I don't want to say caramel, but more toffee like is coming to mind.
Feel: The sweetness of the mouth does coat the palate quite strongly giving it a medium-medium high mouthfeel whilst retaining its drinkability. Not as carbonated as some Euro lagers, but that just may be as it's almost 4 months past it's BB.
Overall:,It's not bad. Definitely a malt driven experience, but a nicer malt forward beer than Aussie lagers which just throw the malt and sweetness into overdrive. It's a nice beer, but for mine it's missing that Grassy hop crispness that punches you into the face with the hop bitterness. Preference to style I guess.

I see these low reviews and I’m baffled. I found this beer to be quite drinkable and hitting all the rights flavor markers. Italians are not generally known for great beers but this one is spot on. Both by itself or paired with pasta, beef, fish and chips, whatever. Too many beer pros chasing overly hoppy metallic niche concoctions to truly enjoy a great all around amber.

33cl serving in a branded Menabrea pilsner glass. Unclear if it was on tap or not. Served at Retrobottega in Washington DC.
Appearance: Clear copper amber color. Thin white head with sheets of persistent lacing.
Smell: Clean, with some toasted malt.
Taste: Crisp, balanced with toasted malt and a light noble hop bitter finish. A bit like a muted Vienna Lager.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, A little sticky on the teeth, lightly dry finish.
Overall / Drinkability: Easily drinkable, and it went well with Buccatini, but nothing special. I felt one was enough

11.2oz bottle at Mama's on the Hill. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of caramel, grains and some grasses. Caramel taste with corn, grasses and a mild bitterness.

Thin white head. Light caramel/orange appearance. Restrained, medium malted caramel aroma. Medium level of caramelized malt, with some noble hops, taking the backseat, for the taste.

Gentle pour but with agitation I created a modest head. It lasted, though. Good webby lacing on the glass. Darker amber color. Crystal clear.
The smell is thinner with weak caramel malt aromas. Sweeter nose than most.
The body is neutral and the carbonation slightly elevated. Dryer than expected, there’s a toasted malt flavor with a lighter hop presence. Nothing spectacular but certainly good in a pinch.

Clear copper to brown with a foamy tan head of moderate height settling to a thin blanket and creamy collar leaving some spots of lace.
Caramel malt that's lightly toasted is met by a slightly abrasive, metallic and drying hop presence before exhaling a more pleasant herbality and an almost honey sweetness.
The medium-light body has a finely firm froth and comes to a quite papery dry finish.
